The Bristol Spirit Lodge Circle was founded in February 2007 as an experiment. The intent was to discover whether individual consciousness continues after the death of the physical body and, if so, whether it was possible to enable communication between those that might remain conscious within a 'spirit world' and those still living in physical form.

As the experiment progressed those interested in the evolving information decided to publish their notes. Later audio recordings became published too. The following link takes you to records of the continuing discoveries:

THE FOLLOWING ARE OLD RECORDS THAT WE CONSIDER TO BE WORTH SAVING

Clear pink light conditions. 90 minute seance.

Medium: Sandy (seated in open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris.Jon.Dave.Pam.Helena.

The evening began with Sandy's main guide and spirit team leader, Joseph, sitting waiting patiently through the first two songs as is the custom here. Unfortunately at the close of the second song, despite attempts to retain dominance, he lost control to John Butler, the spirit surgeon.

John took some time to adjust to the energy within the building before standing, and then clearly had further difficulty with the energies within the Lodge as he walked around. However, things eventually became more stable. He then moved to stand beside Chris, who was laying on the bed, in order for him to examine her finger. By this time the spirit nurse, Arethena, was also present. Chris's finger was clearly manipulated in several ways, whilst the spirit team appeared to converse together. Chris's finger was heard to 'click' as 'something' seemed to be moved around within it. Witnesses close to the bed heard these sounds. No discomfort was felt and after the seance, when her finger was carefully examined within the house, no clicking or movement was apparent.

After the surgeon had worked with Chris's finger Arethena came forward to communicate with us through writing.

Joseph also conversed with us. He answered some questions about the progression of children within spirit world. Also about children who pass after conception but before birth in our world.
To do this he communicated partly by written word and partly by speaking (using Sandy's own voice).

Mike (the Medium's brother) also attempted to communicate. He is trying very hard to speak in his own voice and his determination is clear for all to see.

The final 'act' of the evening was when Chris tied a cotton cord to Sandy's left wrist, securing her wrist to the chair arm. She repeated the same with Jon's left arm. This test was set up in response to a previous experiment when Joseph released Sandy's arm from this tie.
At the time Chris joked that he had 'cheated' and Joseph asked her to prove it! So the experiment was re-set with Jon sitting opposite and mirroring the actions to see if he too could escape from the tie. The test was closed when Joseph released Sandy's arm and proclaimed himself the winner!

Spirits Aloud. December 11th

Blackout conditions. 65 minute seance.

Physical Medium: Brian (seated in cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Alan. Lynne. Helena (each wearing glo tabs)

The evening began as usual. Alan secured Brian within the cabinet and specifically knotted the waist sash. We then settled down to listen to the music. The Chief had recently requested a little extra time for relaxing music to be played at the start of the seance, to be enjoyed in silence. Clearly the suggestion of silence was directed at the sitters, rather than the Spirit team for as soon as the prayer was completed, the clear sounds were heard from within the cabinet of the cable ties snapping followed by the chair being rocked loudly and with great energy!

A rubber ring was then projected from the cabinet, to land with a thud neatly between Lynne's feet. The sound of bells, which had been strapped to the bottom of the Medium's chair, were next heard to 'travel gently' around the room, as if carried, before being 'thrown' the last few feet to land in the north corner of the room.

The chair continued to be rocked and rattled. Further loud tapping and knocking emanated from the cabinet area. Most of this within the duration of the first three or four songs.

Sounds were then heard that are indicative of the development of direct voice. A wide range of vocalisation and energy sounds were heard from within the cabinet with many also being projected further into the room.

After half and hour or so Brain was brought back to a 'normal' trance state and The Chief came forward to communicate with us. He advised Chris to take care of Brian at the close of the seance, as he was "perched" and at close of seance may become over-balanced. The Chief then proceeded to respond at some length to questions posed by Lynne and afterwards by Helena, before finally withdrawing.

During the closing piece of music Chris heard sounds from within the cabinet, so after checking with the Spirit team that it was safe to do so, she turned on the red light and opened the cabinet curtains. There we saw that Brian was indeed perched. He was seated on a cushion that was balanced upon the top of the chair back. The back rest of the wooden chair was tilted back towards the wall, although was not in fact touching it, but was instead very precariously balanced.

Chris and Alan together brought the chair to rest securely to enable Brian to move himself safely.

The next sitting of the Spirits Aloud Circle, with Brian in the cabinet, will be held on January 8th 2008.

Spirit Friends. December 7th

Clear pink light conditions. 85 minute seance.

Medium: Sandy (seated in open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Helena. Dave.

Unusually the first communicator tonight was Craig White, consultant surgeon. Although he has apparently been an observer for a few weeks now he hasn't communicated with us before and came forward to sign his name with great difficulty before withdrawing.

Joseph then came forward. He signed his name and then communicated through writing and also through voice, using Sandy's own.

After Joseph left the surgeon, John Butler, made his presence known by stretching Sandy's physical body, before gradually he became able to stand and walk unsteadily around the room. This he did twice before again seating himself within the cabinet area, at the same time indicating the presence of Arethena, the nurse. John tapped his invisible watch with impatience, indicating that Arethena was late yet again! Chris then lay on the bed and the surgeon came to stand beside her, apparently communicating impatiently with the nurse as she 'externally' moved his hand to turn the instrument tray around. He had placed this upside down on the bed! The following phenomena is even more difficult to explain.

It appeared as if several different entities approached, took some part in a healing experiment with Chris's swollen finger...before withdrawing and being replaced by others. Sandy's trance state became altered many times, her breathing, stance and even physical appearance personality/ demeanor seemed to change according to her Spirit control. In fact later in the seance Arethena explained through written response to questions, using her usual beautiful script, that this is so.

Arethena explained that John works with the vessel "from within" to enable "his own" movements of her physical body. These movements are to Sandy involuntary. Arethena however works "beside" John and can manipulate 'his' limbs "externally". Others visit from the spirit world to observe, or to perhaps experiment a little for themselves, in the same way as a trainee doctor might do here on the earth plane. Many within the spirit world are using this opportunity to work on an experimental basis with Chris (and hopefully later others) as a 'guinea pig' project. Arethena explained that Spirit have no need to heal through surgery, that they can use energy to enable healing. However there is value, in terms of physical phenomena, in the demonstration of surgery that can be seen to take place with measurable result within the light. This is their purpose here. It's all very interesting.

Mike, Sandy's brother was the next communicator. He continues to struggle. He is determined to speak using his own voice. This will take some time. We wish him all the very best as his communication means so much to his family. Mike passed in a motorbike accident 25 years ago.

After this Joseph returned. With much joking and laughter he told Chris that her Guide was a unicorn! Chris said they are mythical creatures! He said he's seen them on the telly! After further banter things settled down again. Joseph then allowed a cotton cord to be tightly tied to Sandy's left wrist, securing her to the chair...before Spirit energy apparently loosened it to allow her hand to slip through.
Chris joked that Joseph was cheating! He responded in kind by asking if she could prove that! He smilingly agreed for us to tie another person into a chair, in the same way as Sandy is tied, using an identical cord and knot, and for this person to mirror the wrist movements used by Joseph (manipulating Sandy's arm)...to see if the cord can be loosened by others. He considered this to be hilariously funny and a good thing to try! He seemed not to know in fact whether it would work or not! Apparently such experiments are as new to him as they are to us and he seems to enjoy them as much as we do.

Spirits Aloud. December 4th

Medium: Brian (in cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris, Paul, Alan (each wearing glo-tabs).

Alan secured Brian into his chair, with cable ties to his wrists and ankles, and a cotton tie knotted around his waist. Chris closed the cabinet curtains before placing a heap of toys, bells, and the trumpet immediately outside of it. She then started the music and said the customary prayer.

The seance began slightly differently this evening as last week The Chief had requested a change of music for the first two songs. There were however knocking sounds within the cabinet very soon into the seance. Then rapid knocking, tapping, and creaking of the chair. The cable ties were also heard to snap.

As time passed there seemed to be more periods of silence than is usual, although of course we went on chatting and singing, feeling confident that the Spirit team were working behind the scenes. Then Paul suddenly yelped as a cushion hit him! At the same time a chair near to Paul creaked, and we felt it likely that Brian had been moved to be seated there.

Further into the seance choking sounds were heard, as well as a chair rocking, coming from the north corner of the room. Quite a variety of sounds that we recognised as being connected to the early development of direct voice were then demonstrated for awhile.

Finally as usual here, Brian was brought back to a suitable altered state of consciousness (trance) to allow The Chief to communicate. The Chief told us that the new music had been helpful. He also told us that a new Spirit was being considered to become part of the Spirit Team, although he is not ready to come forward yet. He was referred to as Ching-Li.

So far we have regular communication, through trance, from The Chief. He is Brian's personal guide and the Gatekeeper. Blaze also communicates sometimes, he works with energies, and comes forward upon a heat vibration. Brian's Grandad Phil is also known to be close, and we have been told that he will communicate more often once direct voice has been developed. Finally, this new Spirit, Ching-Li has now been introduced by name.

At close of the seance, when the light was switched on we saw that the cabinet curtains were still neatly closed and the array of toys outside were unmoved, this included the trumpet, which was standing upright. Inside the cabinet the chair was standing with all four cable ties pulled through. Brian's waist restraint was in place, still knotted in the way that Alan had tied it. Brian himself was seated in another chair, over in the north corner of the room!

The Lodge measures 10' x 12'. The cabinet is in the south corner. Chairs are all around the room, leaving a space in the centre which must measure about 5' x 6' maximum. There is also a circle of wood in the centre of the Lodge that is made from thin strips of pine cladding that has been treated with linseed oil. It is brittle and creaks when stood on. Alan was seated on one side of the room, Paul on the other. Chris was seated in the East corner. All three were wearing glo-tabs. For Brian to move across the room from the cabinet in the South, to the chair in the North corner, he had to pass directly in front of all of us, without blocking our glo-tabs and without being heard. None of us heard or saw anything that we felt to be related to a physical movement.

The Spirit team have once again provided us with phenomena that cannot be explained within 'our world'.

Spirit Friends. November 30th

Clear pink light conditions. 90 minute seance.

Medium: Sandy (seated in open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris,Dave,Pam,Shirley,Helena.

This evening began as usual with Joseph's presence apparent before the end of the first piece of music. He communicated with us through Sandy's voice for a short time before John, the Spirit surgeon arrived. John walked around the room before indicating for Chris to lay on the couch. He then selected various instruments from the side table and 'operated' on Chris's finger. This seems to be a learning experience for him, without evidential healing apparent in fact. This evening John indicated that he had a nurse with him, and appeared to be annoyed with her. After 'working' for awhile he replaced the 'surgical instruments' and returned to the cabinet.

After another song had been played Sandy (in altered sate of trance) enabled written communication from another entity. This time it was Arethena, the nurse. Sandy had sat (in trance) with Chris yesterday and at that time Arethena (for the first time) had written several pages in swirling script. This evenings written communication was in identical script. All written communication is held by the Circle leader for future reference and validation.

Following Arethena's communication Sandy's brother Mike came forward. As usual he attempted to speak. It is apparent that he wishes to use his own voice and is trying to work towards this achievement. As a result of his attempts, Sandy again experiences yet another altered state of consciousness. At this time her breathing visibly changes in ways which appear to be most uncomfortable. Mike usually withdraws after making several attempts to speak.

Finally, after another short period of adjustment Sandy's guide Joseph returned. He slid Sandy's left coat sleeve up and indicated for the cotton cord to be tied tightly to her arm, securing her to the chair arm. Chris tied this cord (with is rigid and does not stretch). Joseph indicated that it should be tied more tightly, so Chris undid the tie and tied it more tightly. Chris then adjusted the lighting, as Joseph has asked to work in clear but dim pink light. It was soon obvious after this that Sandy was being taken into a deeper trance state. Her left wrist began to move gently and slowly against the tied cord. The cord appeared to stretch, this was witnessed by all those present. Within a few minutes the cord had stretched to allow her arm to be released.

The seance ended soon after this. We are all looking forward to further similar experiments with physical phenomena within the light. Needless to say, at this stage we are all wanting to try to knot Sandy's wrist tie in various ways so as to better prove that what happened this evening is indeed exactly 'what we all saw'. At present it is very difficult to believe our own eyes!

Spirits Aloud. November 27th

Sitters and witnesses: Chris.Jon.Paul.Lynne (each wearing glo tabs)

The evening began as usual, with many sounds heard from the cabinet area within moments of the first song starting. Two rubber rings landed in different places within the room, as did two plastic rattles. Suddenly the chair was also ejected loudly into the room, knocking Lynne's leg as it landed.

As the evening progressed knocks were heard within the room, at the same time as within the cabinet, in time to the music. Also many attempts were made at attaining direct voice phenomena. A variety of complex sounds were projected well into the room. 'Hello' was heard and responded to.

This was followed later with some clear voice-communication from Brian's grandfather, possibly using a form of enabled direct voice, or as Jon feels most likely otherwise trance communication through Brian. We'll ask next week! Grandad Phil began by apologising for any injury caused by the enthusiasm of the spirit team. He then went on to say how his development within the spirit world has caused his impatience and lack of tolerance to diminish somewhat.

Finally Brian was brought back to a suitable state of trance to allow The Chief to communicate and answer our questions. The Chief also asked Chris about the Scole dome (an item of apparatus we possess) and they discussed this at some length. We do not use the Scole dome at all within the Tuesday circle, but Chris was recently asked by Sandy's guide Joseph to place the dome beneath the healing coach on Friday's, so she does as requested.

The evening ended with Brian discovered to be seated on the floor within the cabinet. The previous contents of the cabinet were, as usual, strewn around the room.

An interesting evening filled with sounds which are clearly directed towards further development of direct voice.

Circle Outing. November 24th

This evening Chris, Alan, Brian, Mike and Dave attended a seance with Warren Caylor at Ullenhall, near Birmingham. This was the first time that Brian has had the opportunity to experience a physical seance 'from the outside' since he himself started to sit for physical mediumship.

We'd like to particularly thank Yellow Feather for responding to Brian's questions during this evening's seance. We'd also like to thank Rachel and Tom, spirit children, for materialising within the light. So we're hoping that these ethereal beings have internet access and can read this!

Spirit Friends. November 23rd

Medium: Sandy (seated in open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris.Shirley.Dave.Helena.

The evening began as usual. It is our custom to sit quietly through the first two songs, which allows the energy to settle within the Lodge and gives time for the Medium to attain an altered state of consciousness. In fact the Medium attained this level of trance immediately, even before the prayer was said and music started.

Sandy's primary communicator is Joseph. However tonight the Surgeon was also 'up front' and an interesting battle of spiritual wills was taking place as these two personalities each tried to assert their dominance throughout the period of the first songs. Joseph won, but it wasn't long before the Surgeon pushed forward again and literally took a stance within the room.

The Surgeon walked around the room, the first time swaying slightly, then the second time with more confidence. He indicated for Chris to lie on the bed before walking across to the table and selecting a small glass, a pad of cotton wool and a dish with his instruments in it. He proceeded from there to manipulate Chris's finger in various ways. Part of the time using the instruments, and acting as if there were blades in the scalpal handles. This was interesting to watch. Part of the time Sandy's eyes were closed, at other times open but oddly staring. All the time her body clearly overshadowed by her spirit controller.

After this demonstration the surgeon departed and Joseph came forward again. As previously agreed with the Spirit team Chris then tied a cord around Sandy's left arm, securing her to the chair. Spirit are experimenting to remove this bond in the light. The cord, which is of rigid cotton, appeared to stretch. This experiment will continue.

Sandy then lay on the bed herself for healing by Dave. It was apparent that Joseph was still very much 'with her'. Joseph himself is interested in all aspects of healing, having 'died' at age 12 he'd wanted to become a medicine man. Sometime during this healing with Dave, Chris was standing at Sandy's feet. She had been encouraged to move there by her guide FC. Chris wasn't comfortable in this position, as it placed her within the canopy of the cabinet. Joseph, through Sandy, soon noticed Chris's discomfort and in childlike manner had a fit of giggles when he saw her there! After Joseph's giggles had subsided Sandy's trance deepened again. As she lay on the bed the Surgeon then came forward and seemed to be working with her. Later on, when Sandy was again seated in the cabinet area with Joseph communicating comfortably through her he remarked that the Surgeon was "rubbish" and that His spritual healing was far better! Clearly the two spirit people were having an evening of etherical conflict!

This evening was very interesting and great fun too. The complexity of Sandy's development is fascinating for all witnesses to see.

Next morning: FC woke Chris and offered a description of 'how' the cord tie might be manipulated to best evidential effect within the light. This has been considered as an experiment due to the fact that much spiritual healing demonstration is of an invisible nature. It is the inclination therefore for mankind to discredit Spirit's intervention. Spirit suggest that this manipulation of the cord tie would help to open the minds of witnesses towards acceptance of conscious spirit energies being present.

FC advised that the cord be tied directly to Sandy's skin, rather than on top of her jacket sleeve. That this cord may then gradually become stretched to allow her hand to rise to an increasing extent as Spirit experience develops. At some point this stretching will become obvious to all who watch. At close of demonstration Sandy's wrist may return to rest in its original position, with the cord tie unstretched and tightly tied. Witnesses may examine the cord both before and after the experiment, as well as tying the knot in any way of their choice. This will determine that within our world the fabric is not of an extendable nature and that the knot is not of a specialised type applied as with fraudulent intent. It is intended that this demonstration should take place within clear lighting conditions.

Spirits Aloud. November 20th

Physical Medium: Brian (in cabinet).

Sitters and witnesses: Chris.Jon.Sandy.Dave.Pam.David (each wearing glo-tabs).

Many and various sounds were heard coming from the cabinet area within a few minutes of the opening prayer. The cable ties snapped, the chair was rocked, thudding and 'stretching' sounds were heard. The rubber rings landed in the room as did the plastic shakers, quickly followed by the bells which had been fastened with velcro to the base of the chair. The sweater worn by Brian landed beside the chairs in the north corner. This sweater was not inside-out when found later, which in Chris's earthly opinion is serious evidence that Spirit were involved. After all, how many men actually remove their sweaters so tidily!

It should be noted that one of the rubber rings landed between David's feet as if placed there gently, rather than being thrown. This fact is worthy of recording as it seems to be a conscious development. In support of this theory is the fact that the trumpet was standing in the centre of the room and this wasn't touched, despite many things 'flying past it'. The trumpet had tonight been fitted with a (temporary)ring of bells so that any such touch would have been heard.

As the seance progressed sounds relevant to progression towards direct voice were heard.
These sounds, being more relevant to voice tones than previously, were projected into the room. Some of the sounds appeared to link in with the music being played.

As is the custom here towards the end of the evening Brian was brought back, by the spirit team, to a suitable trance condition to enable communication from The Chief. After some initial banter with Chris the Chief moved on to answered questions put to him by both Jon and David. Several of these questions The Chief appeared not to know the answers to himself, but after a pause he appeared to 'return' to respond.

When the lights were switched on at the end of the seance it was seen that the medium's chair was standing outside of the cabinet, the waist tie being still intact, and as had been knotted by our guest David. Similarly he had fastened the cable ties to Brian's wrists and ankles, all four of which had been pulled through. At the end of the seance Brian himself was seated cross-legged inside the cabinet, along with the cushion from his chair.

A most enjoyable evening. Thanks to Brian and all who attended this evening for sharing their energies within the Circle.

NOTE: The next day: Please note that Dave felt his foot to be gently tapped twice last night. We put this down to a rubber ring being placed between his feet. However Jon has since reported that his leg was touched twice and David has said that his sleeve was firmly tugged.

Spirit Friends. November 16th

Due to there being only three of us together this evening we decided to use the opportunity to work with spiritual healing energy. We each took turns to lay on the table and to be paired for healing. We made notes of each others 'findings' and compared colours seen and energies felt.

Spirits Aloud. November 13th.

Physical Medium: Brian (in cabinet).

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave. Pam. Lynne. Jon.

The seance began with witnesses hearing the cable ties snapping, being pulled through, within the cabinet. Theis was followed by the chair knocking and rocking. Then the sounds of the bells and rubber rings being thrown across the room. Next Chris and Lynne heard bells seeming to move within the room, this has been picked up by the tape recorder, before Chris felt the bells land gently on her lap, as if consciously placed there.

Due to her feeling that the bells had been placed upon her lap, Chris asked if Spirit could give another object to another sitter, maybe Jon who was seated across the room. Jon noted that the sweater which had been worn by Brian landed gently beside his chair 10 minutes later. We are not certain that either the bells or the sweater were in fact deliberately given, but feel that these things are worth acknowledging as a realistic possibility in the given circumstances.

The seance continued as usual. Towards the end of the evening Brian was brought back to a suitable trance state for The Chief to communicate through him. The Chief answered questions from Jon These concerned the nature of the energy being used and whether such energy can be used effectively to display phenomena within red light. Basically the Chief replied 'not yet' to this query.
Dave asked if restraints could be placed upon the Medium's arms as easily as they can be removed. It was said that a variety of such demonstrations could take place, as all things are possible. However as currently the energy available is being used for the enablement of direct voice, we can't have everything. The Chief told us that as time goes on the energy will gradually be used more effectively.

When the seance had ended Brian's head was resting on a pillow on the floor outside the cabinet with his legs up on the chair within the cabinet. The waist tie was tied in a karate knot as Jon had tied. All four cable tie restraints were pulled through. The sweater he had been wearing was, as previously descrobed, beside Jon's chair across the other side of the room.

Once again this seance has been recorded in full upon audio tape.

Thanks to all who attended, with special thanks to Brian who spends the whole evening in an altered state of consciousness and therefore misses all the fun!

Sandy was seated in the open cabinet. Witnesses were seated around her within the room.

Before the end of the first piece of music it was apparent to everyone that Sandy’s guide Joseph was close. He came through and spoke a few words, using the medium’s own voice. The reason for this has been explained. After speaking for a short time Joseph then wrote answers to questions asked by the sitters. Most of the questions related to his lifetime upon the earth plane.

Following Joseph’s communication the Medium’s trance state deepened to enable the spirit communicator known to us as John, the surgeon, to came through. John controls the Medium’s physical body. He first walked around the room twice before indicating for Chris to lay on the table before he examined and manipulated her finger. Both John and Joseph in fact worked with Chris’s finger for quite some time before the Medium returned to sit down.

The surgeon, John, then wrote that Chris needs to drink more water and also needs to drink 3 cups of dandelion tea or coffee each day. It was also said that she should take an extract of the horsechestnut leaf. Sandy, a qualified dietician with an interest in homeopathy, will try to find out more about the suitability of the latter suggestion.

Joseph then asked if Dave would perform healing upon another sitter. So Dave worked with Pam laying on the table. Joseph afterwards said that this was very interesting.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

The seance began as usual, with activity within the cabinet area becoming apparent after 30 seconds! The trumpet standing outside of the cabinet, was hit over by the two rubber rings and some bells being ejected from within. Then the bells which had been fastened to the base of the medium's chair were thrown across the room to land near to Jon's feet. Banging, tapping,creaking and thumping sounds, from within the cabinet continued throughout. Many of these sounds appeared to be made in time to the music being played.Then whistle noises and popping sounds, indicative of attempts being made to develop direct voice.

Finally, as always, Brian was brought back to an appropriate trance state so as to enable communication from The Chief. He answered questions from Chris about the nature of physical healing (through molecular manipulation) and from Jon concerning the projection of energy (through positive intent).

When the seance was closed and the light switched on we saw that Brian was laying on the floor with his head outside the cabinet resting on a cushion. His legs were beneath the chair. The restraining waist tie was still in place upon the chair and still tied. Two cord arm ties were also still in place and intact. The cable ties binding his arms and legs to the chair were all pulled through.

Yet another interesting evening. Special thanks to all who attended.

Circle Outing. November 3rd. Warren Caylor.

This evening several Circle members (highlighted) attended a séance with Warren Caylor which was held at Wroxton Village Hall near Banbury.

The séance Circle described clockwise from the cabinet: 'Ozzy'. Spare chair. Chris. Belinda. Helena. Alan. Pam. Dave. Lisa. Julie (controlling lights and music)

Warren was seen (and checked by Alan and Helena) to be seated within the cabinet with his wrists tied with cable ties, his legs bound together with rope and with further rope and chains binding his body to the chair. Finally he was gagged. I can think of more enjoyable ways of spending a Saturday evening!

The séance began as usual with music being played. During the second song sounds were heard from the cabinet area and the spirit child known as Rachel came forward to welcome sitters, many of them by name. Shortly after this another spirit child, known as Tom, came forward and gave a demonstration of trumpet spinning, drumming and harmonica play, with further exceptional use of the slide whistle being displayed later. He then moved around the Circle physically touching every sitter. Chatting the whole time, he removed Chris’s shoe and handed this back to her (Chris feeling his hands upon her hands, arm, and leg during this process). He then did the same with Belinda. Moving around the Circle he touched Helena, and then moved to Alan. He tugged at Alan’s shoe before playing with the laces whilst he and Alan exchanged some banter. He then removed Alan's shoe before banging it purposefully on the floor when told to be careful as it was new! Tom continued around the Circle to touch Pam, then to remove Dave’s shoe before moving on to play with Lisa and Julie.

After this Yellow Feather came through for a chat. Then another entity came forward and lifted the luminous plaque so as to display his hand, which appeared black upon the light background. Pam was asked to stand to feel this hand, and did so, as did Alan and several other sitters. They described the hand as being firm, warm and natural to the touch. Alan further described the feel of the hand surface as being slightly loose, as if the 'skin' didn't quite fit.

Another demonstration involved both Helena and Pam being requested to walk forward to feel the empty Medium’s chair (which had been taken out of the cabinet by the spirit team for the purpose). Rachel later explained the process of dematerialisation to the Circle. Warren was then returned to the chair and placed back inside the cabinet by the spirit team. At the end of the séance the cable ties were seen to be in place and the chains were still fastened with a padlock (the key of which had been held by Pam throughout).

The highlight of the evening was when Yellow Feather returned for a demonstration of materialisation within the light. He moved the chair from beside Chris and sat upon this, then stood up on it, and was then seen (up to neck height) and heard clearly to walk around the Circle, touching many of the sitters and talking to them. He then moved further out into the room, passing through the gap left by the chair, and walked around the outside of the Circle patting each of the sitters on their heads. He then walked purposefully right across the room, and moved things that were situated within the kitchen area! Julie asked him to make her a cup of tea whilst he was over there! As the materialised figure moved around; a shadow was cast upon the wall behind Chris and Ozzy. Alan noted that the shadow cast by Ozzy's head was darker than that of the figure, perhaps indicating that the figure was less dense matter than Ozzy's head (sorry Ozzy I didn't mean it to sound like that!).

Two and a quarter hours later the séance closed with Warren seen to be firmly tied into his chair within the cabinet.

After the close we all witnessed (and helped) as the cabinet was being taken apart, the CD, tape players and two lights were unplugged from their extension sockets and pond liners removed from the windows. All was packed into the car as welcome tea and biscuits were served by Belinda.

Thanks to Warren and his team, both earthbound and in the spirit world, for an exceptionally enjoyable evening packed with evidential phenomena. Thanks also to Warren for including a link to our site from his.

Spirit Friends. November 2nd.

Clear pink light conditions. 65 minute séance.

Medium: Sandy (trance)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave. Helena. Shirley.

This evenings séance was set for the first time to develop and enable the demonstration of psychic surgery through Sandy. Sandy has been sitting for development with Chris since October 11th. Reports of these sittings are available through our Healing Lodge site, listed under the Evidential Healing link. The Healing site link is beneath the yellow lady picture.

This evening Sandy was seated in the open cabinet. Sitters and witnesses were seated around the room. Shirley was wearing a white apron, taking the role of nurse, as had been previously suggested. The table was set in the middle of the room, with a cotton cover reaching the floor, as had been suggested also. Sandy’s own guide, Joseph, had asked for lively music to be played as this is the surgeons preference. So the evening began in this way.

Sandy was very soon within a trance state. Sandy usually remains aware of events but is unable to move her body in any way. Her body movements are best described as involuntary, and controlled by her guides. Thoughts are similarly placed. Joseph was the first communicator. He does not speak, but writes upon paper provided. Joseph always signs his name upon arrival. This signature is always identical and entirely different to Sandy’s own. This evening, through writing, he responded to questions and chat from the sitters.

After awhile the guide known to Sandy as the surgeon then came forward. His name is John Butler and he told the sitters this, using Sandy’s own voice for this communication. John was a larger figure in life and his presence is apparent by his/Sandy’s more upright stance. As John stood to walk around the room he indicated that sitters were seated in such a way that the energy was uneven, which caused his walk to become unsteady, so we corrected this balance for him. John then walked around the room three times, becoming increasingly confident each time. During this period John was clearly pleased to be able to clearly read notices upon the Lodge wall. He indicated that he had needed to wear glasses in the latter part of his life and was pleased not to need them now. It has been noted that Sandy herself needs glasses to read some of the notices on the Lodge wall.

John then sat down whilst the sitters re-arranged themselves. Chris moved to lay on the bed and John asked Shirley to stand to her left. He then approached the bed and began to manipulate Chris’s finger. This was clearly observed by Shirley. The finger was manipulated at speed, and it felt as if ‘something’ within the finger was being moved. In fact it felt as if a ball bearing was being rolled around under the skin. Some 'clicking' sounds were heard/felt. A similar sensation had been felt the previous day during Sandy's one-to-one sitting with Chris. Chris fully expected to feel discomfort this evening as the manipulation was increased, but didn’t in fact feel anything aside from fascination and curiosity during this manipulation. Afterwards Chris, Sandy and Alan each felt her finger and were able to feel the 'ball' move.

When John had returned to the chair a short time passed before Joseph returned for a short time. After this Sandy’s brother Mike came forward. Mike wrote a few things upon paper (his writing different to Joseph's) and attempted to speak using Sandy’s larynx. This was something he had attempted for the first time yesterday during Sandy's one-to-one sitting with Chris. After several attempts at this development Mike then departed. Finally Joseph returned briefly to settle Sandy comfortably, which is his custom, before us closing the seance.

Sandy's first demonstration within the Circle setting has been amazing! We look forward to witnessing more from Joseph, John and Mark through her.

Spirits Aloud. October 30th

Mediums: Jon and Paul
Witness: Chris

Jon, an established trance medium, was seated in the north corner chair. Paul was seated within the closed cabinet, which is in the south corner. Chris was seated in the east corner, as usual.

After a short while it became apparent that Jon was in trance state and soon after this was evidenced a communicator giving his name as Michael, came forward to link with Paul in order to act as support.

It was fascinating to watch as Michael, through Jon, worked with Paul. He explained various aspects of mediumship and trance and worked to encourage, support and enable the development of the process. Paul was led towards experiencing many aspects for himself.

There were two other noteworthy incidents during the evening. Please note that these were witnesed by only one person. It is a rule of the Circle that all reported physical phenomena should be witnessed by two persons at the same time, unfortunately this was not possible here this evening.

The first incident occurred half-way through the seance period when I lifted my legs to rest them comfortably on the chair beside me. Michael (through Jon) turned 'blind-eyes' (Jon's eyes were closed) towards me and 'saw' my altered position. I smiled and he returned my smile, thereby indicating that he could see me, before turning 'his' head back. Jon was totally unaware of this.

The second incident was when I turned the sound up on the CD player. Michael lifted his hand and I immediately turned it down again. He then turned towards me in the same way as before and I mouthed 'Sorry', which he seemd to understand. Michael then appeared to looked down, still with blind-sight, at 'his' raised hand and Jon's fingers were moved slowly one-by-one with Michael apparently studying each movement. This exercise was repeated. I felt that Michael was moving Jon's hand and enjoying this new-found ability.

Spirit Friends. October 26th

Pink light conditions. 85 minute seance.

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave and Shirley.

This evening the Lodge was set up in readiness for the Healing experiment, which actually begins next Friday. Three chairs had been removed from the Lodge to allow space for a bed (massage table) to be set up. Various other preparations had been made, including changes in the lighting.

The three of us chatted about the various changes within the building. We also discussed our hopes for the new Healing Experiment and finally read the new Disclaimer document which will be used in the event of psychic surgery. This document has been transcribed from the one used by psychic surgeon and spiritual healer Stephen Turrof. Thanks to Stephen for sending us this.

Shirley had volunteered for a Spiritual Healing session with Dave, who is a qualified Spiritual Healer. Shirley enjoyed the feelings of the energies used in this way and found the experience most relaxing.

After this, Shirley moved to sit in a chair, where she experienced a short Past Life Regression through Chris, who is a qualified Past Life Therapist.

Shirley, Dave and Chris all enjoyed the shared experiences.

Once again, a lovely evening.

Physical Medium: Brian (secured within cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris,Paul,Justin, Alan (each wearing glo tabs)

Within a few moments of the music starting sounds were heard from within the cabinet area indicative of movement. The chair was rocking and tapping sounds were also heard.
Soon after this the bells, which had been secured to the base of the chair with velcro were ejected to land on the other side of the room.

Various sounds of rocking, tapping and knocking, continued to be heard from the cabinet corner through the first two songs. This was followed by sounds typical of direct voice being trialed. This is still in the experimental stages but sounds were heard which covered quite wide range. At one point 'Hello' was heard very clearly, to which we all responded in kind.

As usual, towards the end of the seance The Chief came forward. Brian is brought back to a suitable state of trance to enable this form of communication. The Chief then answered questions offered by Chris, Justin and Paul.

At the close of the seance, when the red light was switched on, Justin opened the curtains to find Brian perched on the back of the chair, seated upon a cushion. His waist tie was still intact and tied upon the chair. All four cable ties, securing his arms and legs, had been pulled through.

Another enjoyable evening. It was really good to have Justin back with us again. Justin sat with us regularly at the beginning of the year but his work has prevented continued attendance since then. He was quite amazed at the progress Brian has made in the four months since he was last here.

A quiet evening for the purpose of trance development.

Shirley was seated in the north corner and felt that she experienced the increased energy that we have come to expect from this area of the Lodge. She has been close to enabling communication through trance for quite some time now.

Chris, Dave, 'Ann' and Helena enjoyed a peaceful period of uneventful relaxation. The evening made a gentle change from the recent escalation of events within the Lodge. On the other hand, we can't wait to get back to the activity!

Pink light conditions. 70 minute séance.

Mediums: Sandy and Brian (trance)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Paul. Lynne.

Since the last séance Chris has been sitting with Sandy regularly in order to receive trance-enabled communication from Sandy’s guide, Joseph. During this time it has been discovered that Spirit can manipulate Sandy’s body, whilst she remains unable to move herself. She appears to remain fully conscious. This state of channelling is very difficult to describe, but there is clearly a strong control by Spirit.

Whilst sitting with Sandy, Chris has asked Joseph many questions relating to his intent and purpose. She and Sandy feel satisfied that Joseph is supported by other Guides that will work with Sandy within the context of enabling Physical Phenomena. i.e. phenomena led by spirit consciousness that can be witnessed by many people at the same time.

Joseph further communicated that Sandy’s body may become controlled by a Spirit Surgeon who has been introduced to us as John Butler. John tells us that he lived in Minehead and was married, with a wife named Mary. John's year of passing has been given as 1797/98. Psychic surgery has been suggested as his intention. All such work may be carried out in white light conditions.
Note: Due to the nature of this recent communication being witnessed only by Chris, Sandy’s last sitting was recorded by video camera.

With all this in mind, the Lodge was set this evening with Brian seated within the open cabinet, which is effectively directly opposite to where Sandy was seated. Sandy was seated at a table in the centre of the Lodge with her back towards the north corner, facing the south corner and the cabinet. Chris was seated beside Sandy so as to witness any written communication.
The other sitters and witnesses were seated to the sides of the room each with a clear view of both Brian and Sandy.

At the start of the séance both Medium’s very soon experienced a trance state.

As Joseph came forward Chris offered him paper and a pen. Joseph signed his name, this signature has been identical at each signing and is very different to Sandy’s own handwriting. Joseph answered a few questions before stepping back for the Surgeon to come forward. For the Surgeon to come forward Sandy is taken into a slightly deeper state of trance. The surgeon gave advice needed for proposed development before then examining Chris’s finger. Her finger has white lumpy deposits beneath the skin which has been collecting over a period of two years, and is getting worse. Chris's GP has described these lumps as calcium deposits. The Surgeon has offered to heal this when development allows. Following this communication Sandy seemed to rest, with her head dropped forward, within a trance state.

Brian (in trance) then enabled The Chief to come forward. Some form of social interaction subsequently took place between The Chief and Joseph, which was interesting for witnesses to see. The Chief stepped aside to allow Granddad Phil to communicate briefly. He was followed by 'another' Joseph….who has visited us before and wanted to make his presence known again. By this time Sandy's communicator, Joseph, was again taking part in the interaction.

This evening’s seance allowed the Tuesday Circle members to witness Sandy’s progress. From now onwards Sandy will be working in the Friday Circle. Spirit willing, she will be sitting for the enablement of psychic surgery.

It should be noted that Brian is an established Physical Medium. It is the custom here that he always sits in the cabinet with cable tie restraints to his arms and legs and with a waist tie.

Sandy has recently developed trance mediumship, enabling written communication through her guide Joseph. Chris had been advised that Sandy is suited to Physical mediumship and had therefore this evening tied her waist and arms to the chair in the north corner as an experiment. We have learned that the energy in the north corner is often as strong as within the cabinet area.

The seance began as usual, with sounds heard coming from the cabinet as each cable tie was snapped during the first few moments of the music starting. Then the sound of the bells rattling upon the medium's chair before these bells were thrown across the room. Next there were crashes and thuds of the chair being rocked. Further noises unexplained. As the seance progressed sounds relating to direct voice were heard, many of these were well projected into the room. The variation of these sounds was phenomenal.

After this things became even more interesting! For from the north corner there was much activity, the rocking of the chair where Sandy was sitting, and snapping sounds. As this was unexpected, we were all wondering 'whatever next'! Then, as Chris asked for the new Medium to be looked after, The Chief came forward to communicate with us. In fact The Chief communicated directly with Joseph, Sandy's guide. The Chief suggested that Joseph step back a little, so as to better consider the vessel. Joseph responded verbally in agreement. The Chief realised that Joseph was excited to be communicating.
The two spirit Guides then discussed the situation, The Chief being supportive of the work relating to Joseph and Sandy's progression. The Chief offered support such as might benefit Sandy's transition as a Physical Medium. He described the vessell's progress as phenomenal.

After a little while The Chief left and Joseph spoke a few words alone, before it became apparent that Sandy had tired. Chris therefore asked Spirit to withdraw, saying that she would play one more song to enable Spirit to step away before she turned the red light on and closed the seance. When this song ended however Spirit knocked, which is a recognised instruction to Chris not to put the red light on. Blaze then came through to give instruction for another piece of music to be played before the red light being switched on. Also for the closing prayer to be said before further movement took place. Chris followed these given instructions.

When the light was switched on it was seen that Brian was seated in an arm chair within the Circle outside of the cabinet, with his head resting on a pillow! All cable ties upon the chair within the cabinet were pulled through, although the restraining waist tie was still tied in place.

In the north corner Sandy sat looking stunned! She had been tied as described but one of her wrist ties was snapped, as was her waist tie. The second arm tie remained in place and attached to the chair. BUT she had remained fully conscious throughout the seance and was aware that she had lifted her arm up through this restraint. She told us that she had no control of her physical body, despite remaining conscious the whole time. Therefore as her chair was rocked and moved, her awareness remained. This must have been somewhat disconcerting to say the least!

We, as a Circle, are amazed at the progress that Spirit and Sitters are making together. We trust during the next few weeks that Joseph's ability to communicate through Sandy becomes clearer. We hope then to learn more about his intentions and purpose in order to best support further progression.

Red light conditions. 55 min seance.

Medium: Sandy (trance)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave. Shirley.

Just before going into the Lodge FC (Chris's guide) suggested to her that she take in a pad and pen. Chris replied that the tape recorder would pick up any trance communication, and that she would be unable to see to write in red light conditions. FC insisted that a pen and pad be taken in. Chris therefore found one and within the Lodge held this on her lap.

Prior to coming into the Lodge Sandy was aware that her guide Joseph was close by and impatient. As a result of this she was within a trance state almost before the opening prayer was spoken. Sandy does not yet enable communication through trance, although her trance state is clearly genuine and her physical body is very much under Spirit control.

Various attempts at communication were trialed. Chris then decided to offer the pen and pad to Sandy. By carefully explaining her approach and movements to Spirit she placed the pad upon her lap. Sandy wrote various words, becoming ever more speedy as she obviously became Spirit driven.

As her trance progressed further Sandy became both surprised and emotional as she felt the energies of her brother and grandmother present. With concern for the medium Chris asked Spirit to take back the emotion and this instruction was followed immediately.

Upon close of the seance Sandy was obviously delighted with her written words, showing the Circle how the handwriting; her own and her bother's and her Guide's were all different. Shirley felt that the experience of sitting beside Sandy, observing and sharing in her trance experience and feeling the energies, was amazing.

It is unusual for this Circle to work with trance development now that we are focussing upon physical phenomena. But tonight made a pleasant change and was enjoyed by all.

Blackout conditions. 60 minute seance.

Medium: Brian (in cabinet).

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Paul. Lynne. Shirley (each wearing glo tabs).

The evening began with high spirits! Before the first piece of music had ended the four cable ties (which had secured Brian's arms and legs to the chair within the cabinet) were each heard to 'snap' (in fact each was pulled through their slide-fastening). The bells were heard to rattle (these are fixed to the base bar of the chair with velcro).

During the second piece of music a sudden and particulalry loud crash made everyone jump! We later found out that this was the chair being 'thrown' out of the cabinet. At the same time the trumpet was heard to fall, and the tambourine and rattle (both had been placed inside the cabinet) were heard to be ejected from the cabinet. These landed in the room, the tambourine being later found beneath Lynne's chair. So much activity so soon!

After the first two songs whilst we were singing, there were knocks within the cabinet and sounds within the room which seemed to be made in time to the music. Rattle sounds which were heard several times, despite the rattle toys by then being in the room with us, rather than in the cabinet.

As the seance progressed, with us singing, it seemed that there were 'voices' from within the cabinet joining us. Certainly the tape recorder, which is situated immediately beside the cabinet, picked up some 'singing' sounds which weren't made by any of us. These sounds seemed a complex mixture of voice-type noises, some childlike in tone. Tapping and knocking also accompanied the singing. Other sounds, clearly developing towards independent voice, were projected into the room.

Towards the end of the seance Blaze communicated through Brian, who was brought back into suitable trance mode to enable this phenomena. Blaze explained that he was communicating on a lower vibration than The Chief. This is closer to our own vibration. All seances are experimental and Blaze has not communicated in this way when he has visited us previously.

When Blaze left 'The Chief 'came through to explain more about the phenomena which the spirit team are working to achieve. In response to a question from Chris he explained that apports are enabled through a space or pocket in time. After an exchange of informative and also amusing chat The Chief left us, and we moved on to close the seance.

When the light was switched on we saw that the chair had been turned around and upside down. This was laying on the floor outside the cabinet. The four cable ties were undone, as we had heard. The waist tie, which had firmly secured Brian to the chair, remained tied and in place. The cushion from the back of the chair was laying on the floor of the cabinet. Brian was laying in the cabinet, on the floor, with his head on the cushion! Jokes followed about his being able to sleep anywhere and through anything!

Yet another evening of amazing experimentation. Special thanks to Brian and The Chief for this.

Soft lighting conditions (pink light and candle) 55 minute séance.

Medium: Laurie (trance communication).

Sitters and witnesses: Chris,Dave,Shirley,Helena,Denise,Sandy,Pam.

This evening began with a little light chatting within the house. Denise, a psychic artist, kindly brought a painting as a gift for the Circle. The painting is of a spirit doctor who Denise feels has a connection with this place. Denise and Laurie offered some further information about this spirit, which we will hold on file for future validation.

The general feeling within the Lodge is one of love and light, with both a fun element and a high degree of appreciation and respect for the phenomena we (ourselves and the spirit team) achieve here. This evening the energy was particularly strong. We gradually settled down and allowed these positive energies to settle around us before opening the séance with our customary prayer.

Within a short period Sandy was experiencing a trance state. Although she remained conscious throughout the seance; her physical body was clearly being ‘used’ by her guide Joseph. Sandy and Joseph are learning to adjust to each other. Sandy was seated opposite to Chris, who maintained observation. Laurie was seated beside Sandy.

Laurie also soon experienced a trance state. Initially a guide communicated through him for a few minutes, saying how pleased he was to be able to come forward for the first time. Laurie went on to enable communication from other guides that are more familiar with him. Father John being one of his main communicators. Interestingly during the evening Father John supported Sandy by advising upon her breathing technique, which Joseph promptly acted upon.

As he has been considering the possibility of cabinet work Chris asked Father John whether Laurie was suited to this. The reply was that he certainly is, but that he is not yet ready.

Besides Father John an oriental spirit guide also came forward through Laurie, this guide appearing interestingly eccentric from a witnesses point of view.

Finally, Shirley also experienced a trance state. This was displayed with some physical tremor and also facial change, although spirit communication was not forthcoming.

This evening was most enjoyable. Thanks to everyone who took part.

Jon strapped Brian into the chair and Chris closed the cabinet curtains. The evening proceeded as usual. Within moments of the start of the first song we all heard the cable ties snapping as they were being pulled through. This was followed by sounds of the chair creaking, rocking, and then being shaken. Knocking and heavy thuds followed. Then the bells, which had been attached by velcro to the base cross bar of the chair, were thrown across the room, hitting Lynne's leg before landing on the seat of the chair beside her.

Amusingly, later in the seance, the chair was tapped or rocked enthusiastically in time to the sound of The Beatles 'All You Need is Love'.

Following this there was a short period of peace, before we heard many and varied sounds indicative of attempts being made towards direct voice. These sounds covered a vast range of vocalisation, greater than we felt Brian himself could have achieved by normal means. These sounds were often made in time to the music being played or in response to our comments.

Finally Brian was brought back to a suitable trance state so as to enable The Chief to come forward to speak to us. He explained that Spirit had not been using Brian's vocal box for the production of the vocalisation heard this evening, but were instead using an area behind his nasal passage for the enablement of direct voice. There was currently some discomfort being caused to the medium due to his jaw being cracked during experimentation, but Spirit would be able to improve on this situation in time. This was a starting place and direct voice would be developed further.

The Chief also took time to acknowledge the development of other Circle members, making particular note of Paul's progress. Once again he thanked all Circle members for their dedication.

When the light was switched on we saw that Brian's chair was tilted backwards, with a cushion placed comfortably for his head. Both his socks had been removed. All four cable ties had been pulled through. His waist tie was still in place.

Fantastic progress was made this evening. We feel that it won't be long before Spirit will be singing along with us, which is bound to improve our choral range!

Pink light conditions (plus candle). 45 minute seance.

The Intention for this evening was for Trance Development, with an invitation for spirit communication should this become enabled. FC had requested that a candle be placed in the centre of the Lodge to represent a camp fire, this request was carried out.

For most of the evening Sandy experienced the energies within the Lodge as a physical vibration. She was seen to experience many different aspects of trance development and spirit control.

During Sandy's trance state Chris asked if spirit was able to indicate their presence and consciousness by raising Sandy's left hand. There was no immediate response to this request, although there were physical movements indicative of some awareness of the request.

Towards the close of the seance, at FC's request, Chris placed the healing book in the centre of the Lodge. He also instructed Chris to place the tape recorder in the cabinet, and to close the curtains. The recorder to be left set to record, but with the electricity switched off. Chris presumed some experiment is to be attempted. We have been told before that Spirit people visit the Lodge when we aren't there.

A peaceful evening, with some progress made regarding various aspects of the Circle's spiritual development.

Thanks to Dave who this evening brought four hand-crafted wooden goblets (two made from Yew and the other two from Cherry) which he had made following Spirit's request.

"On my way home Joseph (Sandy's guide) said when he was trying hard to lift my left arm and he felt it did not lift high enough to show and realised he could lift my leg easier, who said leg? me or him? The smile at that time was him due to his realisation he could do it. He said the tape is left in the cabinet so you don't tape over the tape before you realise him saying Leg is on there. He does not think you heard it. He said the intense tingling was because he did not want to stop but I had done all I could for now. He realises he tried too hard and could have done more if he used less intensity. Sandy"

As usual the Circle had been joking beforehand and came into the Lodge in jovial mood.
Jon strapped Brian into the cabinet whilst blackout was prepared and the tape recorder set up.

Almost as soon as the music started loud sounds were heard from the cabinet area.
The chair was rocked and crashes were heard, which seemed to come from outside of the cabinet as well as from within. The bells, which are attached to the chair were heard as the chair rocked. Cracks, as if of breaking wood, tapping and vibration sounds of all sorts were all clearly heard during the first two pieces of music.

As further songs were played, which the sitters sang along to, there were knocks and rocking noises in time to the music. The bells which were attached to the chair were then 'thrown' across the room.
Interestingly for us as the seance progressed we heard the initial sounds relating to independent voice. Significant whispering sounds, breathy sounds, projected, as communication was being attempted.
Some of these sounds were quiet and fragile, whilst others appeared more masculine and heavy. Terry felt that his name was spoken, but the tape doesn't reproduce this sound clearly enough to confirm this beyond doubt.

As is the custom here, towards the end of the seance The Chief came forward to communicate through Brian, who was brought to a suitable trance state to enable this. The Chief, as usual, joked with us and also answered some questions. Once again he informed us that a blend of energies, along with ectoplasm, had been used that evening. He also spoke to us again about their progressing attempts to open a direct communication channel and said that Grandad Phil has agreed to come thrrugh when the time is right.
He spoke too of the difficulty mankind has when witnessing the apparently impossible. The mind struggles to bring understanding of how the impossible can become possible. The awareness of Spirit's purpose for such demonstration may then, through doubt of reality, become sadly lost.

When the lights were switched on it was seen that the cable ties securing Brian's arms and ankles to the chair had all been removed. His waist tie was still in place. His chair was tilted backwards, with a pillow placed for his head : ) As had been heard, the bells from the chair lay across the far side of the central wooden area within the room.

This evening was specially positive in many ways. It was a particular pleasure for Chris to meet Terry and Sylve again, for they first met at Jenny's Sanctuary on May 24th 2006. This was the first seance Chris attended, with medium Warren Caylor. Without that experience our Physical Circle would never have been started.

None of the four sitters has ability for spirit communication through Trance, so we were all sitting for the enablement of physical phenomena on a purely experimental basis.

The cabinet curtains were closed with a tankard of water placed inside. A small ball was placed carefully in the centre of the room with four bells surrounding this.

We all sang, joked and chatted throughout the seance period. Between songs we asked Spirit to communicate through knocking, or by some other means that might be witnessed by us all. In fact no phenomena was witnessed and at the close of the seance nothing had been moved.

We were all happy and enjoyed the evening, feeling it to have been a worthwhile experience.

We look forward to further experimentation : )

As is becoming usual now the activity within the cabinet was apparent soon after the start of the first song. Crashes, 'stretching' sounds, and the bells (attached to the chair) were all clearly heard by all of us above the music. These noises were joined by gurgles and coughing as the second piece of music was being played. Further crashes and chair rocking noises went on through the third piece of music.

At one point Paul asked if the rocking and banging could be carried out in time with the music, and within moments this request was granted.

As is the custom here The Chief came through to communicate through Brian towards the end of the seance. He mentioned the heat within the building, but said that the phenomena was not affected. He mentioned that some residual energy had been used this evening, due to the lower number of sitters, but that the energy available was sufficient to enable a display of phenomena as well as being used to make further progress in the ways spirit intended. The Chief said that much work is being carried out behind the scenes and progress is being made. He said that most of the activity would be within the cabinet area for the time being.

Regarding queries about direct voice, The Chief said that a little further development was needed so as to enable spirit to move the Medium back further, and this needs to be done gradually. The Chief thanked the sitters for their dedication, saying that without their combined energies communication and phenomena would not be possible.

The Chief described a spirit lady who had drawn close. She was described as being about 5ft in height with long fair hair and wearing a pendant necklace with a round stone set into it. He said he had no idea what she was doing there!

When the lights were switched on we saw that Brian's chair was turned over, with Brian himself uncomfortably cross-legged beneath it. His arm and leg ties were still in place on his arms and legs. These were unbroken, although no longer fastened to the chair. The waist tie was still fastened around his waist and to the chair. The metal screw loops which had been screwed into the arms and legs of the chair, and which the arm and leg straps had been fastened through, were stretched out straight.

Yet another interesting evening. Thanks especially to Brian and The Chief for this.

Due to several unforseen circumstances our numbers were reduced this evening.

We therefore decided to take advantage of this small-group situation in order to encourage further trance development.

Jon is an established trance medium. Paul is developing this ability.

We began the evening with Paul seated in the north corner of the Lodge. Chris requested an increase in energy around Paul and asked for this energy to be used to enable him to experience trance development. Paul later said that he felt an increase in energy as Chris requested this to be given. Jon meanwhile was experiencing a trance state and brought message from someone by the name of Helen.

Chris asked if spirit might enable energy flow between Jon and Paul, in the hope of supporting Paul's trance development. Soon after this the energy vibration around Jon apparently increased and his spirit communicator then spoke directly to Paul. Paul was led by Jon's spirit communicator towards experiencing an awareness of a spirit guide who gave details of herself. Full recording held.

This evening's development was positive and the shared experiences enjoyable and interesting.

The evening began as usual. Cloudy mist, recognised as ectoplasm, was seen by Shirley and Chris, and some other sort of energy was seen at roof height by both Shirley and Dave.

As within last night's seance, very little was heard or seen. We spent the evening singing and chatting, which felt quite good actually.

When the lights were switched on at the close of the seance Chris opened the cabinet curtains to find that David was seated with the cable ties still fastened, firmly anchoring his arms and legs to the chair. However.....the waist tie, which had been knotted by Chris and checked by Shirley, was undone. This was, we felt, impossible. See: Added information

Paul, who had been seated in the north corner of the Lodge had been taken in and out of trance state throughout the seance period.

Added information:
The following morning I recieved a call from David to say that he felt uncertain about the apparent physical phenomena and wished to come round to see if he could untie the cord from his waist. He asked to be strapped into the chair exactly as on the previous night. It was therefore arranged for David to return for a replay on Friday morning at 10am. As a result of this test it transpired that the cable ties on the chair arms could be slid around and drawn along the chair arms in such a way as to allow the hands to slide underneath, whilst the cable ties remained intact, and for the waist cord to thereby be reached and untied. This invalidates the 'phenomena' as reported above.

On Friday morning, before David's visit, FC suggested that holes be drilled through the chair arms and legs, to take the cable ties. This would prevent them from being slid along or around. I feel that the information regarding the holes being drilled was indicative of an awareness of the situation.

Jon felt himself to be conscious for most of the seance period, although upon reflection felt that he may have 'missed' part of the evening also.

David felt that he had been conscious for the full seance period, but had been unable to move for the whole time.

No physical phenomena was witnessed with any reliability. We all felt that there may have been temperature fluctuations, breezes and shadows. Chris feels certain that she saw ectoplasm within the room, and Paul described "lighter patches and shapes" which may verify this.

We had been told that there would be a period of quiet as the spirit team work behind the scenes for 'the next stage' of development. We were therefore not surprised by the apparently uneventful evening.

Red light seance. 60 mins.

Medium: David (trance)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris, Dave, Mike, Lynne, Helena.

The evening began as usual with two songs played whilst we settled down. David was in trance state quite quickly, but time was given for this to deepen. Towards the end of the second song it was apparent that a 'new' communicator was approaching (David's body was adjusting to this unusual vibration).

The communicator introduced himself as Little Crow. He said he had visited us previously, when David and myself were running Spirit Friends in the early days. He came then to observe. Little Crow was a medicine man. Little Crow told us tonight that the temperature will fluctuate as the new energy is introduced, which may be uncomfortable for some, but this will settle as conditions stabilise. Physical phenomena will become enabled. Little Crow will be working with the new energy. He has been introduced for this purpose.

Little Crow gave instruction that a beaker of water should be placed within the building. The beaker should have water placed in it five hours before a séance. We will be given guidance about the placing of various other elements, which were described as natural ingredients. These will be positioned in certain areas, which may be moved at any time, for this is to be an experiment. Little Crow asked for four wooden goblets to be made, within the time of the full moon. They should not be made in the dark hours. They should be of a size, with your fingers clenched, to be of this circumference. These goblets should be made with a loving heart. We will be told of the elements which will be required to fill these goblets, these elements will represent the earth energies. This is the basic requirement. Other instructions will be given. As soon as the goblets are made they should be installed a week before the sitting of the Circle. They will not be affected by the ectoplasm which is being used another night.

In response to questions Little Crow said that it is intended for healing to take place. Other plans are being considered also by the Counsell. The energy should be used in blackout at first, but red light may gradually be introduced later. We will be instructed. The dome should not be introduced until instructed but this too may be used later. It is best that the dome is not left in place as the area is to be used for other purpose.

As Little Crow withdrew the energy known to us as White Eagle came forward. He confirmed what had been said previously by Little Crow. He described Little Crow as being a powerful medicine man. When asked if he White Eagle, would be taking part in the new project, he said that he himself may step aside and watch, but would be close by.

In response to questions he described Mike’s Guide as being a large man of oriental nature by the name of Li Chee, he is a gentleman of a healing persuasion. He said that Guides came close as needed. They change according to development and according to the work a person chooses to do. He described Helena’s Guide as being a Brave of the Blackfoot tribe by the name of Little Cloud. He said that this Brave was protective and strong.

Another very interesting evening!

Dave has volunteered to create four wooden goblets from some wood given to him by David's daughter (who shares spiritual interests). Dave said that he will need to find his lathe, and jokingly asked if this could be apported from wherever it is currently hidden! Chris will later be suggesting that the various elements requested (when we know what these are) be provided by other Circle members so that all may share in the proceedings. We will also form a blessing for each item introduced. Chris feels that this will help to deepen the bond of the Circle and will also help to instil Intent.

Next morning: FC reminds Chris that 'he' requested four wooden goblets to be provided for the purpose tonight stated. This was "several moons past". This is true, Dave and I had a discussion when FC had suggested it five months ago. As a result of this discussion we have one goblet containing salt in the Lodge, and at the time Dave was to find more wood to make further goblets.

There is no record of Little Crow visiting us in the house, but as an observer a name may not have been given. We did have several observers at that time. One being Little Elk, who was a named observer and a medicine man. There is no record on the internet of Little Crow being a medicine man.

Hardly had Chris completed the opening prayer when the first sounds of spirit activity within the cabinet were apparent. Cable ties were heard to snap and the bells on the chair were jingling as the chair was heard to rock violently. Others stranger sounds too, which seemed as if the chair was being stretched or taken apart!

The disturbance which followed this activity caused the sitters some concern as choking sounds from the cabinet were only too evident. We understood that direct voice was being attempted but felt sorry for Brian who was going through the experience.

Gradually the choking noises became less evident and many and various sounds related to attempts being made towards direct voice were clearly audible to everyone.

One thing which has been apparent previously in seances here and should now be put on record. When 'It's a kinda Magic' was played this evening the activity within the cabinet increased and tapping seemed to be made 'in tune' to the song. This has, as I say, been apparent previously also.

As the seance drew to a close The Chief gave communication through Brian (who was brought back into a receptive state of trance so as to enable this communication). The Chief spoke of the progress being made. He described the phenomena as amazing to himself as well as to us.

Following The Chief's departure, when the red light was switched on it was seen that the chair within the cabinet was tilted backwards at an awkward angle, with Brian seated upon it. Brian's waist tie was still firmly secured. The cable ties to Brian's arms were hanging lose on the chair arms. The ties to his legs were laying on the floor.

Both Jon and David were looking around as each expected to find that something had been thrown from the cabinet. Both felt sure something came out of the cabinet part way through the seance.
Nothing was evident to confirm this as a fact this however. Chris also noted that the trumpet was still standing directly outside of the cabinet entrance, where she had placed it at the start of the seance.

Once again a progressive experience. I'd like to especially thank Brian for his dedication which has made all things possible.

Sitters and witnesses: Chris, Dave, Mike, Shirley.

The evening began as usual, and as the second piece of music ended the communicator known to us as White Eagle made his presence felt. He spoke of the need for Love and positive energy to be shared. He spoke of the nature of energy and how positive thoughts are energy, which go out into the universe and beyond, as ripples within a pond.

Dave began by asking relevant questions and received appropriate response but ended up arguing with Spirit until told that he was not listening and that White Eagle had had enough of him!

A second communicator, known to us as Brother John then spoke of Love as an energy which when used will end warfare, turmoil and hatred. He spoke of a time when our prisons will be empty as mankind learns the value of Love.

Later on Brother John described Mike's Guide as being Chinese, with the name of "Hung Li" offered. Shirley's Guide was described as a Princess, with no name being offered.

During the evening Shirley was close to a trance state most of the time, although it is currently her preference to watch and be aware of everything that occurs.

This circle is close to moving on from enjoying evenings of trance demonstration. It is intended for the Circle to be closed shortly (mid September) in order to stabilise group energy. Our intention then is to sit for the enablement of physical phenomena.

Chris tied the cable ties, which were then checked by Lynne and Helena. Felt was used beneath the arm ties as comfort for Brian.

The séance began as usual, with sounds of activity within the cabinet apparent very soon after the beginning of the first piece of music.

When the second piece of music ended Chris checked that all sitters were ‘present’ and received a response from all. Singing and chat then took over, with further sounds from the cabinet clearly heard throughout the evening.

Chris later checked again that all sitters were ‘present’ and did not receive a response from David, who was then assumed to be in a trance state, as is a regular occurance for him when within a blackout séance setting. This happens most often when he is seated in the north corner, which was the case this evening. David has since said that he heard but didn't respond.

During the latter part of the evening sounds possibly indicative of the beginnings of independent voice were heard close to the north corner. Then following similar sounds relevant to the beginnings of independent voice which were heard from the direction of the cabinet. In all these sounds probably lasted for about 10 minutes.

David has since said that he was looking down at the floor when he heard the voice of what he took to be a young child. This only happened for a matter of seconds. But he remembers thinking "Is that ME !!" it seemed to be so close. He then remembers thinking, "I AM NOT TALKING". He is wondering who is providing the energy for this process as he's not sure. As we have noted this sound (a child's laughter) recently without David's presence he would guess the energy is coming from Brian. However....it was also noted by all those present that David's voice was croaky when he arrived at tonight's seance and this was sufficiently unusual at the time for Chris to wonder if he was being 'used' in some way. It was further noted by Chris later that his voice was fine afterwards. Chris and David feel that this learning curve is becoming more and more complex and interesting!

Towards the end of the séance The Chief communicated through Brian, who was brought to a suitable level of trance state to enable this. The Chief explained a little about spirit’s use of the vessel’s vocal chords, and also about the manipulation of an independent voice box. He spoke again of the energy being used and described this as being blended with ectoplasm.

After joking about Chris’s hearing The Chief said that the healing project would bring exciting validation, and any improvement would be proof of spirit’s work. Chris said that any results will be made known through the internet and may lead to non-believers coming to think again about the reality and value of spiritual healing. The Chief said that if this enabled just one person to come forward the project would be worthwhile.

Some communication then took place about the intended introduction of Brian’s grandfather to the spirit team. When asked if we can do anything to help the progress in general The Chief requested that circle member’s questions about mediumship would now be best met by "the other medium" (David). He also asked for the other medium’s here to be used for the purpose of enabling spirit communication through trance. The vessel (Brian) needs to work now for his intended purpose. It is best for each to work with the gifts given. We agreed. Shortly after this The Chief withdrew and after one piece of music the red light was switched on.

Brian was then seen to be seated within in the cabinet upon the chair, which had been turned around, so that the back faced the front of the cabinet. Brian himself was turned and facing over the back of the chair, with his legs through the arms to reach the floor beside the rear legs of the chair. His waist tie still firmly tied and intact. The cable ties from his legs were pulled-through and lay on the floor. The arm ties were hanging intact from the chair. The felt from beneath the arm ties was laying on the floor. We were puzzled as to how to extricate Brian from the position he was in! Lynne then explained a technique, using a second chair, which worked.

Once again thanks to Brian for allowing himself to be worked with in this way, and thanks to The Chief for taking care of him.

Sitters and witnesses: Chris, Dave, Sandy, Helena, Shirley, Pam.

Shirley was seated beside David and very early within the seance she experienced a trance state. David enabled communication from the spirit guide known to us as White Eagle. He spoke about his life upon the earth plane and responded to questions offered by Chris, Dave and Helena. During this period he gave information as to the nature of the trance state which Shirley was experiencing beside him. He described her experience as Profound.

Shirley said of her trance experience, that it felt as if she had been enjoying a dreaming sleep for ages, although at the same time felt that only a few minutes had passed.

During the latter part of the seance Sandy also experienced a trance state. This, for her, was difficult to manage and attempts by David and Dave to offer comfort were unwelcomed. Sandy moved towards a foetal position. Chris then asked for the energy to withdraw from Sandy and this request was granted without difficulty. However, even after the formal close of the circle Sandy remained 'open', so David offered his support to enable her to close down in an appropriate manner.
Sandy's development towards mediumship has been sudden and swift. Sometimes it takes awhile to manage the changes that occur. Experience will be required for her to learn how to close down and how to better control the energies which are around her. Guidance will be offered by those within the Circle who have themselves experienced trance. Sandy is now fully aware of her own spirit guide and hopefully will feel his appropriate support once the energies become better managed.

Helena, Pam, Shirley and Dave all enjoyed what they described as a peaceful and harmonious evening. Sandy may disagree!

Spirits Aloud. August 7th

Blackout conditions. 90 min séance. Physical phenomena.

Medium: Brian (seated in the chair in the north corner of the Lodge).

Sitters and witnesses: Chris, Dave, Jon, Malcolm, Sue, Sandy, Mike, Enocia (each wearing glo-tabs)

Notes: As on July 24th this seance was set with the Medium's chair placed in the north corner of the Lodge. Only four sitters were witness on that occasion. FC had suggested to Chris that this experiment might be attempted with more varied energies present, as part of Spirits wish to move forward. Chris was guided to place seats in certain positions, and for these to be strapped together in order to prevent movement. Sue, seated nearest the north corner was requested to wear an arm tie. Malcolm, seated nearest the cabinet was requested to have his legs tied. It seemed that there was to be general 'tightened security' in place, as a result of having more sitters present. The reason for this seemed to be that Spirit needed to feel that this experiment was safe. They too are learning as they go along.

Brian was strapped into this chair exactly as within the cabinet. The cabinet itself remained empty, with the curtains closed (the cabinet is situated in the south corner of the Lodge).

The evening began as usual. The first piece of music was played without any disturbance. During the second piece of music sounds were heard from the north corner of the room. Creaking sounds and then a thud as a rubber strap, which had been been beneath one of Brian's arm ties, landed across the other side of the room, near to Chris's foot. Cable ties were then heard to snap. There followed further sounds from the north corner at intervals throughout the evening. No bells were heard from the chair, which would be indicative of movement. However, at one point we were questioning whether the Medium's wooden chair was being forcefully taken apart, for the sounds indicated that this might be the case.

Finally we heard The Chief communicating with us through Brian, from the centre of the Lodge.

The Chief said that the energy in the Lodge was different and it was good that when experienced Medium’s come along they bring their guides too, which is interesting for him.
There were several experienced Mediums within the witness group.

With regard to progress, he said that it is necessary for a spirit team to be formed and they are busy working behind the scenes with various candidates. The Chief said that they are working with Brian’s grandfather, as there is already a bond of trust between the two.

Chris asked about the possibility of spirit recording between séances, through her leaving a tape recorder in the cabinet. The Chief said that this must be a mains recorder not a battery one, as the batteries would not last within the environment of the Lodge. This is an experiment which Chris has considered and that we will now attempt.

Chris asked if the unexplained laugh we heard on the tape recording on July 24th was in fact a child’s laugh. The Chief said that he didn’t know but would ask about others this.

The Chief explained that they are working towards independent voice, trying different energy blends to accomplish this. With Brian he hopes to be able to use a blend of energies which will include ectoplasm. Such a blend would be less volatile than pure ectoplasm and be less of a potential health problem for the Medium. It is hoped that when such a blend is proven to be successful that other Medium’s will be enabled to work with this also.

The Chief said that within the Lodge, universal energies, similar to the Scole project, may be used within the Friday group with the other Medium (David). Independent voice may become enabled using this form of energy also.

In response to question, The Chief said that he has chosen to work with Brian only, and has declined to work with others.

The Chief is great fun and also brings forward interesting and intelligent communication.

When The Chief withdrew at the end of the seance we waited a few minutes, as usual, before switching the red light on. The medium’s chair was then seen to be in place in the north corner. The waist tie, which had secured Brian to the chair, was still tied and intact. The cable ties which had secured his arms were hanging from the chair arms, still intact. The cable ties which had fastened his legs to the chair were ‘pulled though’ and lay open upon the floor. The cabinet curtains were still closed neatly, as they had been placed at the start of the séance. The cabinet was checked and nothing was inside.

Brian was sitting cross-legged on the wooden floor in the centre of the room! It has to be said that this seated position would not be his own choosing and he was very pleased to straighten his legs! None of us had heard him 'arrive' in this position, yet if you move to sit on this wooden circle you cannot help but cause creaking sound. This circle has been recently placed and has a top layer of thin strip board nailed to the basic wooden floor. The strip board has been treated with linseed oil, which causes the wood to harden, so sounds are more evident when you stand on it.

It is the policy of the Circle to report only evidence that is witnessed by two or more people at the same time. However, within this seance both Jon and Sue reported feeling touch on separate occasions. As touch by its very nature is unlikely to be felt by two sitters simultaneously these incidents are considered valid evidence. FC suggested during the week, that Chris should inform all sitters that touch would become apparent within the seance room. Chris and Malcolm also reported hearing sounds from the cabinet area during the seance, it not known whether these sounds were heard at the same times. Enocia, Sandy and Mike all reported seeing lights at various times during the seance.

Note: Chris had supplied thick rubber bands to go beneath the cable ties on Brian's arms. These were provided for the first time tonight. However, Chris noted that when the rubber bands were removed from beneath the cable ties (not a feat that is 'possible' in our understanding as the ties are too tight to allow their removal) the cable ties themselves were then large enough for an arm to be slid through. The usual felt lining will be used in future in recognition of our need to provide validation of spirit enabled phenomena.

Spirit Friends. August 3rd

Red light conditions. 70 minute seance.

Medium: David (Trance)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris, Dave, Shirley, Sandy and Mike.

The seance began in the usual manner. Most of our trance evenings are spent in low lighting conditions, but FC had suggested the red light be used on this occasion. FC also suggested that the dome again be placed in the centre of the room. All such guidance was followed.

The seating was also arranged upon FC's suggestion. Sandy was seated to the left, beside the cabinet with David beside her.

Chris was seated in her usual position on the other side of the cabinet, with Dave beside her and Mike beside him. The chair in the north corner was left empty and Shirley sat around the corner, beside this empty space.

Interestingly for those witnessing, Sandy was soon unable to move although she says she was able to hear all that occured. Shirley was, similarly, unable to speak for much of the seance period. At the moment we do not have any explanation for this. We will ask spirit for some information at a later date, as it is always interesting to learn as we go along. To date the spirit team have been very helpful in answering questions such as this.

Various communicators visited through David. The entity known to us as White Eagle came through to warn that the energies being made available to us would be removed if misused. He was asked about the condition of the lady (Sandy) seated beside him. He said that she was feeling the energy and may be a little baffled by this, but was quite happy.

The 'new' guide, Isaac, came forward to speak of healing energies and the importance of Intent. He was asked if there was a message for anyone present. He spoke of a thought form present, connected to one of us and as being from the reign of Queen Victoria, but didn't give further detail about this.

A visitor came through briefly, he gave his name as Charlie. He appeared as from "the military" and was apparently suffering within Napolionic times. Chris and Dave responded to act for spirit release to be enabled.

Finally White Eagle returned to speak. He was asked again about Sandy's condition. He replied that she would be able to experience trance work should she wish to do this. He similarly mentioned the lady to his other side, Shirley. He said that both ladies have purpose within our circle for healing, but that they have free will and may choose to follow any of many paths.

This was an interesting evening from Chris's viewpoint. She feels that the spirit team were 'working behind the scenes' and that the condition of Sandy and Shirley was significant. Although further information is required.

Blackout seance. 75 minutes.

This was an experimental seance with an intention for Trance communication, Trance development and Physical Phenomena.

Mediums, sitters and witnesses: Chris, David, Jon, Paul and Sandy (each wearing glo-tabs)

Note: The bell jar dome was situated in the centre of the Lodge, as had been suggested by FC for the purpsoe of experimentation.

David was seated in the north corner. Paul was seated to the left side of the cabinet.
Jon was seated within the cabinet area, with curtains remaining open. Chris and Sandy were seated to the left of the cabinet.

Early in the seance David was taken into deep trance and remained in this condition throughout. Jon was also soon in trance state, as was Paul.

Chris welcomed a spirit communicator through Jon. This energy was recognised as ‘Charlie’, Jon's gentle Guide and communicator who has visited us several times.
Chris asked if the red light might be put on? 'Charlie' advises not. He mentions the high energy within the Lodge and the need to stabilise the conditions in order for communication to be brought forward with further clarity and strength.
'Charlie' then informs Chris that her hearing may be improved during the communication, on a temporary basis. When Chris asked why or how this is enabled, he replied that this should not be a matter for any concern.

Chris then asked if there was any information available for Sandy regarding her Spirit Guides. In response to this enquiry ‘Charlie’ subsequently guided Sandy through a meditation process which he advised might be helpful in enabling such connections to be felt. Chris herself felt motivated to join ‘Charlie’ and Sandy for this period of guided metitation. Incidentally, during this period of meditation Sandy was given validation concerning her own awareness of her current primary spirit friend.

‘Charlie’ then stepped back in order to give time and energy towards Paul who was sitting to further his trance development. Chris and ‘Charlie’ encouraged and welcomed a 'nearby' communicator to approach through Paul, without success on this occasion. ‘Charlie’ says to Chris that Paul should be congratulated. To enable communication is not easy.

‘Charlie’ then asked if we sitters had been paying attention to the centre of the room. He described strong energy and hoped that we might have seen the visual effects of spirits experimentation.
Chris explains that although she occasionally felt that she saw lights, and was aware of energy, she remained uncertain. In any case, for such a sighting to be confirmed, phenomena would need to be simultaneously seen by two people. 'Charlie' said that experiments were taking place and further experiments would be taking place.

‘Charlie’ informed Chris that she may feel heat or some effects within her ear later on.
That night, at 3am, Chris was woken with a feeling she describes as ‘ants in her ear’.

Further, within the seance, in response to questions regarding the new Friday project, ‘Charlie’ advised Chris to become firm in her intent. Does she wish for energy to be used for healing OR for a light show? She needs to become firm in her intent and then allow spirit do their work. Chris replied "Yessir!"
‘Charlie’ responded with the remark that sometimes women are more difficult to work with than men!
Chris then commented that ‘Charlie’ sounded rather like Jon! ‘Charlie’ replied that he can only use what is within the vessel...and this was clearly there!

As communication reduced Chris asked if ‘Charlie’ wished to leave? He replied that he was quite happy! However he agreed that the vessell was tiring. He asked if there was one more question? Chris asked if there was any other message for Sandy. 'Charlie' said that there would be clarification in weeks to come….but there are other aspects in her development to be focussed upon. Sandy was reassured that she was supported and guided by a friend who could be relied upon to support her. Again validation was given to Sandy in just one word.

It must be said that Sandy and Chris greatly enjoyed the period of meditation led by 'Charlie'.
He is a 'heavenly' communicator......!

Development Circle. 70 minutes. Pink lighting.

Medium: David (Trance)

Sitters and witnesses: Christine, Dave, Sandy, Shirley and Samantha.

The evening began in light-hearted manner within the house. The group chatting mainly about the importance of positive energies and Healing Intention. Then all within the Lodge sat for trance experience. The 'additional' Spirit energies within the Lodge were apparent almost immediately.

A new communicator, through David, who introduced himself to us as Isaac, described himself as a new guide who would be working with David for the proposed Healing work ahead. David later told us that he himself became aware of this Guide's presence only yesterday.

After Isaac, the spirit known to us as White Eagle came forward through David. He too spoke of the power of positive intent and explained about the value of this positive energy for the enablement of Healing. White Eagle also spoke of the lady sitting beside David as being aware of the energies flowing through her. Later on Sam totally agreed with this.

An enjoyable evening with two new sitters. It is hoped that in a few weeks time Spirit Friends may again become a closed Circle of compatible members, so that the new project can move forward as intended.

Notes: Here, during the last physical séance, Spirit had given us a suggestion for an experiment to be carried out. We were asked to place the medium’s chair in the north corner of the Lodge. Brian was to be strapped into this chair exactly as within the cabinet. The cabinet itself was to remain empty, with the curtains closed (the cabinet is situated in the south corner of the Lodge).

On the afternoon of this evening’s séance Chris was offered further guidance. *This guidance came via her Guide who she refers to as FC. She was asked to move the heater and the standard lamp. She was further asked to stack unused chairs in certain positions and to place their cushions beneath. She was reminded not to put toys on the floor (an instruction previously given). She was also asked to place the microphone near to the ceiling. Further she was asked to ensure that sitters were seated in pairs, and was advised where to position these chairs. She was even asked to remind Jon not to stretch his legs out! Chris followed all given instructions. All those within the Lodge complied with the details also.

None of us knew what to expect!

The evening began as usual. Within minutes sounds were heard from the north corner of the room. The chair was heard rocking back and forth with the bells attached, which were also heard. Tapping sounds, creaking sounds also. Then one of the small pieces of fabric, which had been laid around Brian’s arms before we tied the cable ties, came across and landed on Jon’s arm. Further sounds were heard from the north corner during the early part of the evening.

Then, before very long, Jon and Chris heard sounds from the cabinet area. These were followed by further sounds from the north corner, which confused us greatly!

Finally we heard The Chief communicating with us through Brian, who remained in deep trance. The Chief was speaking from the cabinet area!

This communication was informative and interesting. Each of the sitters asked questions and received answers. The full seance recording is held on tape and will be transferred to DVD. It is hoped that Jon may type the transcript from this, if he has time to do so.

PS: *FC insisted this morning that I formally acknowledge his existence as I promised yesterday that I would!

Additional Information: Friday 27th. My husband transferred the tape recording of this seance to CD, so that Jon could best listen to it and transcribe the conversations shared between us and The Chief.
This morning I decided to check through the CD recording and was scanning towards the section where The Chief began communication. The song playing, with us singing to it, was The Young Ones. It was towards the end of the next song, Wooden Heart, that (within the seance) we heard The Chief and responded to welcome him. The recording had however picked up sounds within the cabinet earlier, during The Young Ones. I heard the faint "hmm..." sound of The Chief and a clearance of Brian's throat as his trance level was being adjusted. Then suddenly a laugh was heard. This is entirely different and separate to the sounds made by The Chief. This laugh was as a child's giggle. On the recording my voice, along with those of the others, were clearly audible within the seance room. The sound of giggling laughter was independent. Due to the fact that this laughter was recorded upon tape, and was unheard by sitters within the seance room, I cannot state that what is heard is true according to our circles rules of evidence validation. Sitters and witnesses: Chris, Dave, Darlene, Sandy

The evening started quietly and remained this way throughout.

The spirit we know by the name of White Eagle brought communication through David. White Eagle was receiving guidance from another being from a higher order.
We were also told that Red Deer was present and sitting aside for the purpose of learning.

White Eagle spoke of the energies which may be used in the Lodge in the future. These were described as cosmic energies. They would, he said, not be harmful to other energies already being used here. He approved of the suggestion that these new energies might be used for the purpose of healing, but was not drawn by various attempts to gather further guidance as to how to bring this situation about. He did however say that instruction would be given at the appropriate time.

He spoke of new circle members coming to join the circle and of the fact that there may be others who will be guided towards leaving. Only when those present are of a compatible blend will we see the new energies being brought in.

When White Eagle left there was a short period of quietness before gentle approach of Brother John was apparent. He said that he had found White Eagle’s speech to be informative and interesting. He spoke at some length about matters which totally escape my memory, as I think I was dozing at the time! In fact, as his communication closed he apologised for rambling on and asked if he had bored me to sleep!

Mediums: Jon. Brian and Paul (all sitting for trance).
Note: This was Paul’s first attempt to enable communication.

Sitters and witnesses: Chris and Sandy.

The evening began with much light-hearted banter before all three mediums relaxed into a situation conducive with trance. It must be said that usually the séance Lodge contains many forms of high spirits!

Within trance, Brian was the first to bring spirit forward. This spirit spent awhile looking around the Lodge, which he said he was interested to see as the others had been telling him about it. He, Lucas, said that it was good for him to be able to communicate with us in this way as he is usually working in the background. He told us that he is of higher intellect than The Chief and often brings us information through Running Bull, which The Chief himself does not know. He mentioned Blaze, who he said was not being allowed to communicate that evening due to his maverick tendencies. He then noticed the picture on the Lodge wall, which had been drawn by Blaze. He remarked that Blaze kept on talking about this picture and wouldn’t shut up about it! He spoke too of the need for spirit and mankind to move forward as new forms and styles of communication are developing. He remarked that the older mediums were finding it difficult to accept the modern methods but that spirit want to encourage us to work with them and that the fun element was beneficial for this attraction. We agreed!

The second communicator came through Jon. He referred to himself as being known to us as ‘Charlie’. He explained that he is not a single entity but a spokesperson for a collective energy…a group of individual but collective energies. He spoke of the many forms of energy being worked with here and of us being unaware of much of the phenomena occurring. He spoke too of the vessel (Jon) whose vibration was currently changing as he was being taken to a deeper state of consciousness.

The third communicator, again through Brian, told us that he had been drafted in at the last minute by The Chief, in order to keep his place and to also work with the Paul. He told us that Paul was in trance state close to speaking, but that the voice box was not yet ready to work through. He too said that he was interested in looking around and familiarising himself with the Lodge, although this was not what he had come through to do! This spirit did not give us his name. A little time then passed as we allowed the blend of energies around Paul to settle towards his speaking. This was not attained however.

The Chief himself then came through and spoke to us and joked with us at some length. We chatted about the experiment spirit has planned for next Tuesday’s séance. He said that he enjoyed the work here and was impatient. He then told us that he would like to attempt to look through Brian’s eyes, with them open, and asked if we would allow this experiment as he’d like to see the Lodge properly. We of course welcomed this, and followed his guidance to alter the lighting slightly. The result was that he clearly tried to open Brian’s eyes, but after a few attempts had to give up.

Finally ‘Charlie’ returned to communicate through Jon, to thank us for the evening and to answer any questions. Chris asked about Paul’s trance state and was told that Paul has great potential for development at many levels and has already established abilities as a medium.

A lovely evening with a fun element, particularly enjoyed by Sandy and myself. We are not sure how much fun it was for those three who sat in trance state and 'missed everything'!

Spirits Aloud. July 10th

Blackout conditions. 75 minute seance.

Medium: Brian (in cabinet)
Sitters and witnesses: Christine, Jon and Paul. (wearing glo-tabs)

Note: On Sunday Chris felt an instruction to move the central table, so this has now been placed in one corner of the Lodge. Toys and the trumpet were all therefore placed on the floor in the centre of the room before the seance began.

At the start of the seance Brian was heard coughing heavily. Half-way through the first song creaks and taps were heard within the cabinet. The chair was then heard moving within the cabinet during the second song (the chair has bells fitted to it)...and other loud thuds were heard at the same time.

A little later further sounds were heard during 'Save your kisses for me'. A heavy crash was heard as the chair was moved into the room, the trumpet being knocked over rather forcefully at the same time.

Halfway through the seance a spirit, struggling to communicate at first and then speaking with a fragile voice, lacking strength and barely heard, asked us to pass a message to Brian. This spirit told us that he was Grandad Phil and wanted us to tell Brian that he is watching over him. *Brian was in deep trance state.

Soon after this a spirit we recognised as The Chief came through. * Brian remaining in deep trance state. The Chief answered several questions from each of us. Chris asked how the chair is being moved and how the arm bands are being removed. The method was described as being a change in the molecular structure of the materials. We learned that both Brian's physical form and also that of the plastic cable ties were changed to enable the phenomena to occur.

The Chief also answered questions, from Chris, about Past Life Regression. They discussed the reality of the true nature of this. The Chief explained about the souls memory and the akashic records. At one point he withdrew slightly in order to relay a question to Lucas, before returning to give us the reply. Clearly indicating that he himself does not know all the answers. He said, in response to Chris's query, that 'No' spirits do NOT pop in for a chat about themselves when Regression is taking place. Chris has been doubting the reality of the information gained through her work when using Past Life Regression. The Chief's communication indicates that in fact past memories may be accessed through the Regression technique.

The Chief also spoke supportively to Paul, who is to start sitting for trance development next week. He defined the methods of support which he himself can, and will, be offering at that time.

The Chief then gave us a suggestion for the next physical seance. This being for us to place Brian's chair in the north corner of the Lodge. This is an area which we have identified as having a great deal of activity and which spirit have told us is where they enter the Lodge. The cabinet is to be left empty with the curtains closed, in the opposite corner. We will of course do exactly as suggested.

At the close of the seance when the red light was switched on, it was seen that the chair was again completely outside the cabinet. Brian's arm bands had again been removed. The trumpet had of course been knocked over.

An extremely interesting evening once again

Spirit Friends. July 6th

Spirit Friend's members joined Warren Caylor's seance at the Freespirit Awareness Centre in Patchway this evening. It was certainly an experience to be remembered!

So much evidential phenomena in one room, witnessed by so many, in just a few hours! It was Amazing!

Spirit children Rachael and Tom were heard towards the start of the seance. As usual there was much fun, joking and laughter within the Circle. Tom playing the slide whistle is always a delight worthy of note. Later on during the seance Yellow Feather, in materialised form, was seen clearly from the waist down, with a less-clear physical form above this. He walked across the room, and moved his feet and body in many ways in dim white light conditions (all sitters clearly seen to be sitting in their chairs throughout). At one point I myself witnessed that his materialised foot was solid as he kicked a small item out of his way, directly in front of where I was seated. This materialisation phenomena was repeated in the same conditions many times for all to see. Albert also presented, for a short period of time, in the same way. Both materialised forms spoke with sitters at the same time as their materialisation was taking place, often explaining the process to us and responding to questions.

At one point during the seance Yellow Feather displayed his hand upon the plaque and allowed several people to feel this. Bernie was one person who was honoured with this opportunity and she was clearly delighted by the experience! A little later on spirit child Tom removed Bernie's shoe and Dave's shoes were pulled off also! Aside from this amazing phenomena 'the usual' things were witnessed. The spinning of the trumpets, heavy thuds, thumps and crashes, 'Smarties' being scattered and sitters heads patted.

Finally the medium's chair was brought out from the cabinet and Warren, still in trance state, was seen to gradually return to 'normality'. His recovery took awhile and as usual I wonder at the strength of this man's resolve to continue to do this work. Where does his resolve come from?

Needless to say Warren's cable ties were still securely in place at the end of the seance. This fact, along with everything else, was made available for all to witness and freely scrutinise. All evidence was openly displayed by the Warren Caylor Circle.

Note: I myself sat beside Warren's partner Julie, who was seated directly beside the cabinet. Bernie was sitting beside Ozzy, another member of Warren's Circle, on the other side of the cabinet. Dave, from Spirit Friends was sitting beside Bernie. The two sitting closest to the cabinet could not move, fiddle with equipment or carry out any other devious action without 'us outsiders' being fully aware of it. This did not happen. We were all there to prove and witness genuine phenomena....and we did!

Blackout conditions. 70 minute seance.

Medium: Brian (in cabinet)

The seance started quietly before activity made itself very apparent within the cabinet area. The sound of the trumpet falling over, outside the cabinet area, was heard also. Later further thuds and crashes were heard by all.

After this activity an entity known to us as The Chief spoke through Brian, who was still in deep trance state. The Chief explained what he and the spirit team had been working to achieve during the evening. He praised the presence and dedication of the sitters, which made communication possible. He spoke with pride in what our Circle and Spirit had achieved together in such a short period of time. He himself feels pride in the progress that has been made as he is new to this type of work and has been learning along with us. He told us that many Circles work for many years and achieve less. We all agreed with his words and gave thanks for all that has been achieved here.

When The Chief had left an entity introducing himself as Lucas, came to bring the name of Sidney into the Circle.

The final communicator was Blaze, who simply came forward to assure us that he is learning to behave himself appropriately and to advise us to close the seance in our usual way after a couple of songs had been played. Chris carried out his instruction before switching on the red light.

When the red light was switched on it was seen clearly by all those present that Brian was seated completely outside of the cabinet, still in his chair! His waist tie was still in place, as were his ankle ties (cable ties). His arm ties (cable ties which had been fitted by Jon and Chris and double-checked by both) had been removed and were hanging on the back of the chair arms, in the same position as after the last seance. The trumpet was seen to be on its side.

Chris closed the seance before photographs were taken by her husband Alan in the presence of all Circle members.

An especially active evening! Great fun!

Almost from the start of the seance various sounds were evident from within the cabinet. Tapping, thuds and creaking noises. Later on during the seance several very loud bangs were heard.

Towards the end of the seance The Chief came through to say that he had been busy blending the various energies, ectoplasm and universal energies. He said that the warmth within the building caused some difficulty due to the heavier atmosphere, but assured us that steady progress was being made.

Upon closure of the seance, when the light was switched on it was seen that the Medium's chair had been moved around by 45deg. Also that the two cable ties which had secured the Medium's arms to the chair were hanging from the back of the arm rests....leaving both his arms free.

Yet another interesting evening!

Pink light conditions. 95 minute seance.

Mediums: David and Jon. Both in trance state for most of the seance period.

A taped recording of this full seance is held by the Circle leader.

The first communicator through David spoke of Spirit's requirement for Christine to make herself available at a declared time (of her choosing) on a daily basis for the purpose of communication by two entities of a higher order. This requirement, if met, would stop Spirit from disturbing her sleep, as has recently been regarded by herself as being a problem.

The second communicator through David was an entity known to us as Brother John who spoke quietly of his joy at being with us again.

Jon then brought forward a communicator who is also a recognised guide of his. This spirit gave much information about the universe and the reality of existence. He is always welcomed as an extremely interesting communicator : )

Towards the end of the evening a fourth communicator was invited to come forward, again through Jon. Jon being 'new' to trance communication feels a need for validation of this phenomena and of his ability. With this need in mind Chris requested this entity to give validation of the reality of his existence. Some detail was then provided, which we as a Circle will do our best to prove as evidential.

Finally as energy faded a message was given in the form of a description of a gentleman who wished to be remembered to Christine. This gentleman was described as being of aged years upon passing. Having soft round or oval facial features, wearing glasses and with thinning hair upon passing. He presented as wearing a dark suit. The name 'sound' was described with difficulty, as being similar to "arthnold".

At this stage Christine feels a recognition of this person but wishes to await further detail, which may be given at a later date, before declaring any certainty of his identity.

Once again a very interesting evening. Thanks to David and Jon for their dedication.

Blackout conditions. 95 minute seance.

Medium: Brian (in cabinet)
Sitters and witnesses: Christine. David and Paul.

Various creaking sounds were heard from the cabinet. These were particularly evident on tape, less heard within the room. Some sounded like stretching rubber, others sounded like wood being moved. Others were dull thuds and scratching sounds. All are typical of sounds heard here within a seance setting on a regular basis.

Note: The cabinet is a curtain across the corner of the room. The medium’s chair is a plastic garden chair. The mediums arms and legs were firmly secured to the chair by cable ties. The sounds do not equate with what is actually ‘there’.

* Tapping sounds (as if a ballpoint pen was tapping upon wood) came from the cabinet in time to the music of one song.

Both David and Paul noticed and spoke about cool breezes, felt at the same time. We all saw light patches within the darkness and patches of darkness which appeared to be more dense than others (particularly noted by David).

Halfway through the séance an entity known to us as Blaze communicated through Brian, who remained in deep trance state. Blaze said that the energies within the room were good, stabilised. They are trying to make things less solid, more flexible, within the room. They have been working with the medium, who has been experiencing something like hot flushes as a result! They said that there will be more members of the spirit team introduced later.

Following the visit from Blaze we settled back to our singing, which I must say has improved quite a bit!

Later on The Chief communicated, again through the medium. He spoke about the electrical storm, changing the density of the earth. * The Chief also mentioned that the tapping sound we had heard was Blaze tapping and cracking the medium's jaw! Much other information was received.

Physical phenomena: At the close of the seance it was seen that the medium's chair had been moved forward. Also one back chair leg was buckled under. A replacement chair will be found.

Note: Chris checked the lodge the following morning, and saw that the plastic chair leg was indeed twisted and buckled under. Due to her pending holiday she did not remove it from the building. On the following Tuesday morning (June 26th) Chris entered the lodge to clean through, prior to the evening seance. The chair leg was straight! There was no apparent weakness in the plastic and no indication of any damage. Chris examined the chair in bright light due to her belief that there must be some faint 'stretch' mark, or distortion, at least. There was none.

As usual a tape recording was made of this séance and will be held.

The spirit we know as White Eagle gave motivational communication primarily about the importance of positive thinking. He answered questions from Dave who requested clarity regarding this teaching.

Brother John then came forward and added his feelings about this subject and answered further questions, some of which related to information concerning Akashic records.

Finally a gentle spirit came forward who was surprised at being able to speak to us. He had spent his life within an institution where he was unable to speak due to mental retardation and had not been referred to by a name.
With a little support from Chris, through David this spirit was enabled to move towards the light, where he was met by a lady he recognised.

There were many sounds within the cabinet area during the séance. Mostly these sounded like elasticated plastic, being steretched.

Towards the end of the séance The Chief communicated through Brian (who was still in a deep trance state). He spoke about the work that spirit are doing and how things are progressing.

At the close of the séance, when the white light was switched on, it was noticed that the chair, with Brian still strapped into it, had turned by 60deg and was tilted backwards.

White light conditions. 105 minute seance.

Trance mediums: David and Jon

NOTE: The video camera was set up to record communication by spirit
through David and Jon, whilst they were working in trance state.

The evening’s communication with spirit beings was excellent. Exceptional.

David’s trance state was as deep as I have ever witnessed. His communicator, who we know as White Eagle, was with us throughout the evening. He came forward, and then stood aside appropriately to allow others to communicate. This situation occurred several times during the evening. White Eagle would step aside, whilst still listening to the words of others. He’d then return to communicate further, often referring to, or giving additional information about, the entity communicating through Jon. David remained in deep trance state for this period. David and White Eagle worked as a team and together worked with respect for Jon’s communicators.

This was Jon’s third attempt to work with trance in a Circle setting. In my opinion the quality of his work was exceptional. All communication through Jon as a vessel was clear to be heard, was valuable in intellectual content and of excellent informative quality. There was disciplined control and management of trance by Jon’s guides throughout.

Jon’s communicators, guides? gatekeepers? (we think there were two different communicators, but neither felt the giving of a name to be of importance) managed to control Jon’s depth of trance and to take him to a depth beyond that of physical vibration being apparent. These entities managed the whole trance period with Jon and together and their discipline was amazing. Jon and spirit have clearly been working closely together between Circle sittings, for this was only Jon’s third working trance session within the Circle.

As Circle leader (and with curious mind) I had felt a need to learn more about the various energies being used by spirit within the physical circles here in the Lodge. I therefore asked questions of each communicator, through both the working Mediums. The outcome of this is that, through various sources, I have learned that:

When Brian is working in the cabinet ectoplasm is being used along with a form of group energy. This ‘mix’ may not be what others are using, but it works for us within this venue.

When Malcolm was working in the cabinet, it was said that he usually works with ectoplasm alone and that his sitting here may be puzzling for him in consequence, as spirit were again working with a blend of energies here. It was this form of group energy which moved the table.

This full evening’s events have been recorded between video and audio tape. *The video tape ran out before the séance was ended, so audio tape was used for the latter period. An audio tape and a DVD will soon be made available.

Total blackout. 75 minute séance.

Medium: Malcolm in cabinet. He was secured to the chair by cable ties to arms and legs.
Sitters and witnesses: Christine. David. Sue. Dave.

NOTE: Malcolm and Sue were guests of the Circle. It was their first visit.

The energy within the lodge was high. There were shadows and foggy woolly mist seen by all sitters. There were also several small unexplained sounds heard within the séance period.

At the end of the séance it was witnessed by all sitters that the table had moved by a few inches from its normal position. *The table’s normal position is clearly marked with permanent marker drawn around each leg.

This phenomena was duly noted.

Next morning at 5.30am Chris woke up! She realised that there were items on top of the table which HAD NOT BEEN MOVED! Three tiny balls were carefully balanced and a piece of paper with a felt tipped pen (a round-barrelled pen) were laying there. THEY DID NOT MOVE when the table moved! Clearly when looking for things within the lodge, we were looking for items which had moved. We failed to notice things which had NOT moved, but which realistically should have done!

Malcolm and Sue were welcome guests and we hope they will come along to join us again : )

Red light séance. 65 minutes.

Trance medium: David
Sitters and witnesses: Christine. Dave. Geoff( guest).

The séance began with a short ‘settling in’ period due to our visitor, who had no previous experience of trance or mediumship, needing to feel at ease within the séance environment.

Two songs were then played before an entity known to us by the name of White Eagle came forward for communication. White Eagle brought evidential communication towards our guest. He referred to a small health issue and also gave the name of Mrs Smith as being known to our guest. Aside from this White Eagle spoke of his people and the lands where they lived and the policies that were in place at the time.

When White Eagle departed another entity, known to us as Brother John came forward to communicate. He too gave time to our guest, telling him of a grandparent who was supportive towards him as a Guide.

Chris asked if there was anyone else waiting to come through, with a message for anyone else in the group. She was curious to know whether Dave’s ‘deceased’ wife Yolanda would communicate. This was due to Dave’s telling the group prior to the séance about some escapade he had been involved in…..which had resulted in his daughter being upset. True to form, Yolanda did indeed have some things to say! Filled with mirth, she recommended that Dave fit a lock to his door next time!

Our final communication involved the release of a lost child named Gemma. Gemma displayed herself as a being of light. She lost her life through diphtheria in the 1920’s. With support and guidance she was able to meet with her parents again.

Yet another interesting evening!

Medium: Brian in the cabinet with his arms and legs secured to his chair with cable ties.
David strapped into his chair in the north corner of the lodge (this upon advice from spirit)
Sitters and witnesses: Christine, Jon and Paul

A particularly quiet evening. There was very little sound from within the cabinet and no spirit voice communication throughout the blackout period.

At the end of the séance, after informing spirit of her intention, and having asked them to ensure the safety of the Circle and the Mediums, Chris turned the red light on and discovered that both Brian and David were still ‘out’. David was showing signs of ‘returning’ when she carefully opened the cabinet curtain (she felt instructed to do this). She then cut the ties binding Brian to his chair (again feeling the instruction). When doing this she noted that Brian was totally unconscious. There was no reactivity to her touch or words, there was not even a ‘skin tremor’. This was a learning curve for Chris.
The reality of the deep trance state was noted and confirmed.

After a few minutes Chris asked for The Chief to come forward to communicate through Brian, which he did. He explained that when ‘they’ take Brian into a deeper state of trance they have difficulty getting him to return to his body. This was described as a minor problem. The Chief also told us that they are working with Brian internally. Again this was described as a short-term issue for ‘them’. The Chief told us that he too is new to this work and is interested and impatient to experience what is evolving.

Medium: Brian in the cabinet with his arms and legs fastened to the chair with cable ties.
Sitters and witnesses: Christine, Paul, Dave and David.

NOTE: Christine had placed three cat-toy balls with bells inside then, in a triangular position beneath the chair within the cabinet. She had felt instructed to strap David’s arms to his chair and for David to be seated beside the chair in the north corner of the room. Brian was secured to the chair within the cabinet by cable ties to arms and legs and with a cord at his waist.

During the first part of the evening various creaking sounds were heard within the cabinet. For the most part the only sounds heard were our own ‘singing’.

During the latter part of the evening however activity was clearly again apparent and this included some interesting communication from The Chief, through Brian, who was in a deep trance state.

At the close of the séance David was brought out of trance state, as was Brian. The Chief had mentioned that spirit had been using David's energy that evening for experimental purposes.

When the light was switched on it was witnessed that the Medium’s chair had been moved 45deg within the cabinet and, what baffled Christine, was that the balls which she had placed carefully beneath the chair were exactly as they had been put there. They had NOT moved. This fried her brain in fact! The balls, you will understand are cat toys, they move easily, which is why they were being used for experimental purpose.
Yet UPON CARPET they did NOT move when a man who was strapped firmly into a plastic garden chair, was moved across the floor by 45deg. The carpet within the lodge is uneven, this is very apparent whenever Chris vacuums it. By all reasonable ‘earthly’ law, the carpet, and therefore the cat toy balls, SHOULD have moved.

Communication:
Dave had just been chatting to the group about Gregory Haye, who communicates through Mick Avery during a radio programme broadcast live on Thursday evenings via the internet. The Chief made reference to this during his communication with us.

The recording of this seance has been made and Chris suggests that this is played at the next Spirits Aloud meeting for the benefit of all Circle members to hear.

Once again, a rewarding evening : )

Thanks to Brian, David and The Chief for their part in the proceedings. Thanks to the sitters and witnesses too, without ‘all’ this evenings events would not have been possible.

Red light conditions. 85 minute séance.

Trance mediums: David and Jon
Sitters and witnesses: Christine,Paul, Justin, Ollie.

David was seated beside the cabinet, with Jon beside him. The intention for the evening was for Jon to experience trance for the second time, either with or without support from David (established trance medium).

Both David and Jon displayed indications of pending trance very soon into the séance.
Therefore Christine decided to simply invite spirit to draw closer for communication through either of the two mediums. The blending of energies between the two mediums was not requested nor was it necessary. Jon worked independently of support from David.

Therefore we now have two established trance mediums within our Circle : )

The first communicator through David was White Eagle. He spoke about the recent vandalism to the sanctuary and gave reassurance about this.

The second communicator came through Jon. This entity was reluctant to give his name, as he feels names to be unnecessary. He spoke of having some difficulty in making communication through the medium, who was not able to relax. Jon’s physical body shaking was mentioned by Christine and assurance given that all was well and that this would pass.

The third communicator came through David. This was Brother John. He gave a loving and supportive message to the group.

The fourth communication came through Jon. This entity was felt by Paul to be an entity known to him as Hussein. Hussein spoke directly to Paul, discussing a previous message with him and giving further confirmation about a young girl who is beside Paul, to his right side. She was described by Hussein as being a friend, rather than a guide. An older man was also mentioned as being close to Paul, said to be a relative of his who had recently passed, on his father’s side of the family.

The fifth communicator was Black Eagle who said that he felt it necessary to come forward as someone within the group felt a need for healing. It was suggested that this person should remove their garments and open themselves to the sun and the beauty and natural energies around them. Chris joked that such behaviour would not be socially acceptable within the Cribbs Causeway area. Black Eagle agreed with this but encouraged us to consider taking time to enjoy the healing benefits of fresh air, the woodland and the countryside.

The final communication was through Jon. An entity who gave his name as Charlie. He spoke gently of many things. Particularly, in response to a question by Justin regarding connecting with deceased loved ones, he was very profound with his words. QUOTE "It is not the shape of the clouds that give meaning, but the meaning we give their shape that matters." Lovely!

Please be aware that this report is not as objective as I would prefer. This is due to the unusual nature of the evenings events.

Beverley was asked to sit beside David in recognition of her wish to experience trance for herself. Things didn’t, however, turn out as expected.

David was soon sitting in an altered state of consciousness. I would say from my experience that this was a lighter state of trance than David usually works in….or at least a ‘different’ state to what is usual for him. Beverley too appeared to be in a trance-like state. The energies as ‘seen’ around the two mediums was not as smooth flowing as I have experienced, it seemed to me that there were attempts being made to blend two different forms of energy, rather like mixing icing sugar together with granulated sugar. Beverley was enabling the icing sugar part of the arrangement. This more refined energy form seemd more powerful than that around David.

Gradually the energies within the lodge itself appeared to change. I personally was not comfortable with this. I felt protective of the familiar feelings of friendly banter, love and trust that has always been felt within the building. This new form of energy became pervasive. I did not feel this to be an evil energy. It might best be described as a ‘golden white’ and purer form of energy than what we are used to feeling in the lodge. However, I was not ‘comfortable’. I personally was not happy within it.

Aside from the energy changes, something else was going on. An angel appeared, as seen within my mind, full height, complete with Christmas card wings! This angel was ‘sensed seen’ by myself clearly. I would say that the angel appeared through Beverley and became as one with her. *Please remember who I am, and that I am not given to ‘seeing’ oversized birds in the lodge! This experience was not something that I felt at ease about, possibly because I have never experienced this sort of thing before and was aware that Dave (the only other witness that evening) was less experienced than myself in this regard.

Happily ....Brother John communicated with us through David, explaining to us about the different, more refined energy surrounding Beverley. Several times he had difficulty holding the link with her Guide, who was very strong. Brother John said that a highly evolved entity, from the higher realms, was attempting to speak through Beverley, but was unable to do so.

After about 20 minutes Beverley began to cry from the onslaught of emotion she had been led to feeling. Brother John assured us that Beverley’s guides were supporting her. He then bid us good evening and withdrew. David, Dave and myself moved forward to comfort Beverley. Gradually she told us part of what has been happening to her over the past many years.

Beverley’s experience of the energy that is working with her is great. She has asked us to treat her further conversation with confidentiality. *So be it. I wish Beverley well as she continues to travel her path, as do David and Dave.

In all it was an interesting evening. I cannot possibly understand what’s been going on! I left the lodge last night hoping that the energies within the building return to ‘our normal’ as soon as possible. Right now I feel extremely grateful for my ‘less evolved’ state of being!

NOTE: *I hold a tape recording of the whole séance, which will only be used should it become genuinely helpful to anybody who finds themselves in the same position as Beverley and who therefore might gain comfort from knowing that they aren’t alone in their situation.

Red light séance conditions.

Trance mediums: David and Brian.
Sitters and witnesses: Christine. Dave and Beverley (guest).

The first communicator was White Eagle, who came through David. He was in cheerful mood and welcomed our guest, saying that he felt a powerful entity with her. A Native American Princess named something ‘Moon’ (lack of her full name is due to our tape recorder not being active tonight).

The second communicator was Blaze, who came through Brian. He too welcomed our guest. He gave Christine answers to all her questions. He confirmed that both ectoplasm and universal energies were being used last Tuesday, and will continue to be used for various purposes within the lodge.

He told us that the chair had been moved by natural means, through an alteration of the substance of the chair. We were told that, the day before, Brian has coughed up white stuff, a residue of ectoplasm. He had done the same in childhood, and had then been taken to his GP, who didn’t know what it was. After the séance Brian confirmed this.

The third communicator was again White Eagle. He told of how youths in his time roamed the plains and learned natural disciplines. This was in response to concerns about the recent vandalism to the Lodge.

Then back to Brian again for communicator Running Bear ‘The Chief’. The Chief told us that he wants very much to display himself in full regalia, and will do this if he gets the chance. He is working towards this and is impatient and excited to be doing so. He also said that someone wishes to communicate specifically to Christine using direct voice when this phenomenon has been enabled. Within another seance he has told Christine that he will do so, when the time is right. He said this is someone who does not work exclusively with one medium. Christine, of course, understood who this is.

The Chief also turned to our guest Beverley and informed her that she sees visual images in detail and has abilities as a trance medium, should she wish to use them.

The Chief has a great sense of humour and made many jokes! He also gave Dave formal recognition of his healing ability. A most welcome communicator!

Finally a few quiet words from Brother John, who spoke through David. He brought love from the Spirit world.

A fantastic evening. The lack of recording is sad….very sad : (

NEXT MORNING
Chris was woken at 6am. She then e-mailed Brian to ask him to bring a sample of the substance, should this occur again. Modern science may analyse it.

She was also told that the lack of recording wasn’t their doing and that she must remain vigilant

NOTE: Brian was secured with cable ties. Each arm was fixed to the arms of the chair. His legs were fixed to the front two chair legs. A pillow case covered his head. A belt tied his waist into the chair. The chair itself is a green plastic garden chair.

Various sounds were heard within the cabinet. Tinkling bells, from the tiny cat-balls placed within the cabinet were heard. Later on, many times, knocking and creaking was heard. A quiet but high pitched whistle was also heard twice on tape.

Towards the end of the séance period the CD player failed to function. Chris made adjustments, including changing the CD….with various results and further failures. We all wondered if Spirit required the length of the séance to be extended. This theory remains unconfirmed and we await further clarity.

Following the failure of the CD player The Chief communicated through Brian. This has been recorded in full.

When the light was switched on at the end of the séance Brian’s chair was
turned around to face the right side of the cabinet. This represents as 135deg turn. The pillow case had also been removed from his head and was lying on the floor to his right. All cable ties and waist belt remained secure. The little cat balls with bells insoide had been moved. Two small toys also within the cabinet remained in their original positions.

NOTE:
*The “strong” energy within the Lodge was felt by everyone as soon as the séance began.

*Early in the séance Chris felt as if a spirit entity touched her skirt on the right side. She asked them NOT to touch her without first asking her permission.

*At the end of the séance it was noted that David was in deep trance. He had little awareness or memory of events during the séance. We wonder why this occurred and feel quite strongly that his condition was spirits intent

Blackout conditions.

Medium: Brian in cabinet.
Sitters and witnesses: Christine. David. Darlene. Dave.

A quiet evening for the most part. Evidence of woolly light grey mist, witnessed and mentioned by all sitters.

Coughs and choking sounds were often heard within the cabinet. Creaking sounds (as of wood) were also heard from this area, and were recorded on tape. The chair is plastic and the frame of the cabinet is wood with curtains fixed to it.

When Herman’s Hermits ‘There’s a kind of hush’ was playing we were quietly singing along and there were gentle sounds of apparent Spirit laughter from the cabinet and little ‘whoop’ sounds were recorded on tape. Full communication has also been recorded.

NOTE: At the end of the séance it was noted that the buckled strap securing Brian’s legs was laid loosely (still fastened) just inside the cabinet.

After the séance Brain told us that he had sometimes felt as if the chair was made of jelly. Also the temperature within the cabinet seemed to have fallen during the séance. He had been unaware of the strap fastening his legs together, but had become aware at some point that the strap was no longer there and that his legs were positioned apart.

Red light séance séance conditions.

Trance medium: David. *Jon sitting beside David for the purpose of receiving energy through him which would hopefully enable Jon to experience trance communication for himself.

Witnesses: Christine and Paul.

David was in mid trance state almost immediately. The blending of energy was enabled gradually between David and Jon. Jon was soon in a relaxed light to mid trance state. Christine consistently invited and encouraged communication from Spirit through Jon. Jon reacted ‘tentatively’ now and then, without actually enabling communication.

After awhile Spirit spoke through Jon in a muffled voice:
“Hussein” Hussein” before tiring.

David’s guide White Eagle then gave advice, telling us that blending was taking place. He explained that both the communicating entity, who is a guide of Jon’s….and the vessel (Jon) were both new to communication. Also Hessein was trying to use our language, which is not the language of his original soul. He explained that the guide who works most usually with Jon needs to step aside to allow for communication to take place.
White Eagle said that it is important for the vessel (Jon) to establish his own energy, so he, White Eagle, would sit aside whilst allowing blending to continue and offer he would offer support as needed. We were asked not to make any sudden movements.

Chris and Paul then chatted together, allowing Jon to rest and for energy to blend.

Soon Chris was aware that Jon was again attempting to speak:

Chris “Has the world changed a lot since you were here?”
Jon “Hasn’t it changed since you were here?”

White Eagle came back to say that Jon was tired….it is time to close.

Jon “Child for you. Message. For you. Child. Young child, girl. Young girl. Your support”
Chris “We will watch for her. Thank you very,very much. Please come again.”

White Eagle explained that the energies are very different. Jon needs to, in time, enable his own energy, particular to himself. It is important that the brother (Jon) is not stressed.

Red light séance conditions. 45 minute séance.

Sitters and witnesses: Christine. Darlene. Dave.

Brother John came through and spoke of the pleasures of the countryside and the value of being at one with nature.

In response to a question regarding Spirit’s message to us about ensuring that our Medium, when working with energies within the cabinet, keeps his feet upon the ground, Brother John told us that of course he (a monk) walked barefoot, which enabled contact with earth energies. It was also mentioned that the pressure points on the soles of the feet are stimulated when walking barefoot.

He went on to speak about Charlie, a friend of Dave’s. Dave enjoyed this communication very much.

A “thought form” energy was brought forward for Darlene. This related to a child named Robin…..who has learning difficulties and feels great frustration within the school classroom setting. Spirit told of this child suffering pains in his head. This child was said to be at peace overnight, he was then at one with Spirit.

Thanks to David for the trance work which enabled this Spirit communication.

Medium: Brian in cabinet.

Fairly early in the séance both of Brian’s trainers were ‘thrown’ out of the cabinet, hitting the trumpet over. The sound was sudden and loud, catching us all by surprise.

During the séance woolly fog was often seen, sometimes obscuring the glo tabs. There also appeared to be fluctuations in the temperature within the building.

The Chief spoke through Brian and told us that he should not wear shoes when within the cabinet as they wasted energies removing them. They said that these energies could be used for other things. We queried whether the sitter’s shoes should also be removed, and this was said to be a good idea ‘for next time’. It was also said that Brian should be more grounded.

NOTES:

Just before the séance Chris was ‘told’ to say to Brian that he should drink only water for two hours prior to sitting in the cabinet. Unfortunately she had only just made him a cup of coffee, so the message was a bit too late! She passed it on to him for future reference.

Early in the morning following this séance Chris was ‘ told’ that the Medium’s chair is unsuitable for the purpose intended. This particular Vessel, when seated in the chair, requires ‘intervention’ so as to enable his feet to make firm contact with the ground. She was told that spirit spent most of last evening working to do this.

As Chris couldn’t remember noticing whether Brian’s feet DO touch the ground or not, she responded to this 'perceived’ message by saying “Are you sure?”
The response to this remark was instantaneous “You’re like an old record! Change the cartridge!”

Chris was about to say that ‘they’ meant needle (as in the good old days her first record player had a needle) when she realised that the name of the 'needle' she used to regularly buy for her old record player was called a Shure cartridge.

This 'proves nothing' to Chris (who is uncertain of her own abilities to receive communication from spirit)…but was enough to make her eyes open wide with shock!

The chair will be replaced with an existing high backed garden chair of standard type.

Total blackout procedures were in place. 70 minute seance.

Medium: Brian, in the cabinet for the second time.

Sitters and witnesses: Christine, David, Dave, Helen

Note: Christine fastened straps (arms, legs, waist) in the cabinet. For the first time the pillow case was used. Sitters all wore glo tabs for the first time. This means that no-one can move around without others being aware of it. This is not through mistrust of circle members, but to get us used to inviting sceptics to join us, who won’t be trusting of us.

The first sounds from the cabinet were of Brian coughing (heavily). Various small creaking sounds were also heard at the same time.

About one third of the way through the séance, to the background of ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ spirit attempted communication (from the cabinet). This sounded rather like the voice of a very heavy smoker on a very, very bad day! Further sounds, dull thuds, creaking, heavy breathing and ‘suction’ noises occurred also….some of these are unclearly audible on tape.

Further communication was made a little later. This time the voice was just about recognisable as The Chief (Brian’s gatekeeper). He said that the energy was better than last time. This communication was followed by various undefined ‘suction’ sounds coming from the cabinet.

During the séance sounds similar to footsteps were heard, this included a series of what appeared to be small running steps. Another sound, which was a bit like a spinning coin or a zip fastener was heard. Due to music and background noise these were not picked up on the tape recording, but were clearly witnessed.

All sitters witnessed ‘feelings’ and ‘seeing fog’. Luminous tabs were often obscured.

When the light was switched on at the end of the séance Brian’s trainer was found outside of the cabinet. The ankle restraining strap was around his left ankle. His right leg was tucked under his body, so that he was sitting on it. This would not be particularly easy for him to do (himself) with this arms and waist firmly secured. Also this position would not add to his comfort at all.

Note: Both Helen and Dave mentioned after the séance that they had suffered discomfort in the their middle fingers during the séance. Dave e-mailed next day to say that: According to reflexology: Reflexes stimulated in Helen’s left & Dave’s right middle finger last night related to, eyes, ears, brain & skull.

Helen was heard to cry out on tape…this was when she felt something touch her leg.
She is a sensible lady and not given to drama. Helen was seated in the North corner where previous activity has often been witnessed.

IMPORTANT The microphone needs to be further away from the music source.

Justin went into the cabinet first as intended, but unfortunately felt panicky and uncomfortable. He asked to be released after about 10 minutes. This was Justin's first time sitting within the cabinet but in any case it is felt that he is probably more suited to alternative work.

David then went into the cabinet and the seance was re-started from the beginning (prayer included). David went into some type of trance state and feels that some development took place.

During the seance Justin could smell flowers or pot-pouri around him. No-one else was able to smell this. *There is no pot-pouri in the seance room.

There was some feeling of energy within the room, but no physical phenomena was evidenced.

Blackout conditions within the seance room.

Medium: Brian in the cabinet. This was his first sitting there.
Sitters and witnesses: Christine, David and Dave.

Brian had been strapped into the chair by Christine.
Note: This is the first time Christine had felt able to strap anyone into the chair within the cabinet. Always she has felt a 'block' to her doing this.

Various sounds came from the cabinet area all evening. Several times Brian was heard coughing and a few times seemed to be choking ...although Chris felt that he was ok. The seance proceeded with the volume on the music control set low so as to hear should the Medium ask for assistance, or ask to be released. Dave asked Chris if we should perhaps talk to the Medium, but Chris felt that we should not interfere. This may sound uncaring, but isn't the case. Chris felt strongly that the work within the cabinet needed to be allowed to proceed and evolve.

Towards the end of the seance a communicator or gatekeeper, believed to be The Chief, came forward, speaking through the Medium, with some 'unusual' control of the Medium's voice box.
The entity came forward gradually, with initial 'odd' sounds heard by Chris, to which she responded quietly prior to true communication being apparent. The Chief asked for patience within the Circle and assured them that spirit were working behind the scenes.

Soon after communication ended and the red light was switched on it was seen that Brian’s trainer shoe was 3ft outside of the cabinet.

The second communicator for the evening was 'White Eagle'. This entity also responded willingly to questions offered by Paul.

The seance proceeded as usual. Witnesses commented upon variations within the darkness and their perception of lights. Christine and Jon spoke of a cold draught coming from the surrounding area of the cabinet, as if a cool hand was waved towards the side of their face nearest to this. Both have witnessed this previously.

PHENOMENA: Justin and Jon both heard a tapping sound, just once, on the wall beside Justin. Described as being like a finger-nail tapping.

Prior to the evenings sitting Chris went into the lodge around 3pm. She felt that there was a strong energy within the building which was not as usually felt. Chris felt 'edgy' as a result of this.

A short while later Chris e-mailed to Jon to tell him of her feeling. This was due to her feeling edgy and wanting the fact to be noted in advance of the seance. No other circle members were informed. Chris contrived to give David the key to the lodge so that he would enter before herself. She felt that he may then identify the 'entity'. This was not the case.

The evening's events proved to be unusual. David has a 'signature tune' which when played assures his trance development. This piece of music was played twice during the evening and failed to 'work'. David was puzzled by this.

Meanwhile Brian went into trance state and enabled a couple of 'light' communications.

Chris was aware of an entity around David all evening. This was exceptionally strong. She took it to be Yolanda (who was Dave's wife) but decided to say nothing to anyone. However the energy was stronger than is usual for it to be Yolanda .... so Chris wasn't certain. Chris felt the presence of 'the same' energy that had been within the building during the afternoon.

After the seance (with no prompting) David turned to Dave and gave detailed information of Yolanda' s anger and warnings towards him. Yolanda remained 'with David' after the seance closed. David therefore gave Dave further messages when we had returned to the house.

Chris cleansed the lodge on Saturday morning and again on Sunday. She 'told' Yolanda that her message had been passed on to Dave. Chris then asked that Yolanda allow other entities to communicate in future. Chris did this because Yolanda's presence was so strong and she is known to communicate very strongly and readily to the exclusion of others.

An interesting, but somewhat strange, evening.

Séance took place in dim lighting conditions. 75 minute seance.

The séance procedures ran a little more quietly than usual. David enabled communication from the entity known to us as White Eagle. Brian enabled communication from an entity known to us as The Chief. This despite Brian requesting permission from Christine not to work within trance that evening and for them agreeing this.

A mains powered cassette recorder was used to record communications, but due to the positioning of the microphone one Medium’s voice was clearer than the other and background noise affected all of the recording. Also, due to limited recording capacity some of the messages were missed.

White Eagle acknowledged our new visitor and told her that she would be going abroad to help those who need her particular gifts. He told her that her travels would commence in two years time. Her experiences would be tiring and demanding, there would be hardship but that she would settle to do the work. He told her that an Eagle was with her and this eagle had the attributes that she herself carries. He also told her that a Chinese child would be helping her. He was presenting himself as a child of aged 9 or 10, but has highly evolved through many hundred of years. He understands the children and their needs and will be a Helper. His name was given as “Yang Po”

White Eagle spoke of the energies within the Lodge and told us that a blending was taking place, which would take a certain length of time (unspecified of course). In response to Chris’s question with regard to whether there is sufficient energy within the Tuesday circle for physical manifestation in solid form to take place? The reply given again referred to the blending of energies over time.

Chris asked if the footfalls within the building on Tuesday were caused by spirit. She was told that the sound was heard, and this was caused by the energy within the Lodge. He said that it has been described as a footfall….the sound being that similar to a footfall. This is understandable.

Chris asked about the problem of the battery-operated items within the Lodge. She asked if spirit were connected with affecting these? The reply was that all energies within the building were affected by the blending process.

The Chief mentioned an entity who has visited the previous week. Blaze. He remarked that this entity had too much energy and needed to become more controlled. The Chief was excluding him this evening.

The Chief then addressed himself to Dave and complimented him on his Healing abilities, which he said travelled through air.
Brian had had dental treatment that day and the healing energies within the venue were helpful and were being used. The Chief said that this is why Brian had been placed within trance state, as this enabled spirit to work with him to his advantage.

The Chief spoke of positive energy and positive thoughts being of greater value and of higher power than negativity. He spoke of energy transference during Healing. The Healer receives energy from the patient, and transfers it back as positive energy.

The Chief also acknowledged our new visitor. He asked for permission to ask a question, which Christine gave. He then asked Helen if she intends to come again. He then welcomed her energy to the Circle.

NOTE: A microphone will be more favourably positioned for the next séance.
Christine will try to find a more suitable tape recording device…

Phenomena:
All those present clearly heard a footfall sound on the floor. Chris and Justin heard this more than once. Paul was particularly affected as he heard a footfall as if it were beside him and the floor shook with the vibration. Jon and Paul felt that the sound touched the wall also, in the same area and at the same time as the footfall.

Notes: Chris and Justin felt that there was mist around the central table for part of the séance.
Jon and Chris felt coolness to the side of their faces closest to the cabinet.

The atmosphere within the venue was ‘heavier’ than usual and all sitters came out of the séance feeling as if they had been working.

Brian was in deep trance state for over an hour. His main guide (known as The Chief) came through with much to say. Many questions were asked. These were general queries about energies and blending relating to ourselves within the venue.

Brian then brought through another entity of lesser order who chatted with laughter. Christine asked this entity how clearly he could see the lodge. He replied that whilst waiting for us to arrive there he and others were able to look around ... but once we arrived and he entered the vessel he could see less as he was using the vessels eyes and the vessel's head needed to be turned in the direction he wished to look. Christine asked if this entity might be able to write his name, or write a message for us, if he were given paper and pen. The entity said that he didn't know. Christine then laid a sheet of paper and a pen on the chair beside Brian. The entity (with Brian remaining in deep trance state, with no increase in awareness) was able to print his name: BLAZE. Christine, Dave and Darlene were fully alert at this time and act witness to this event.

David was in deepest trance for the whole of The Chief s communication through Brian (i.e David was zapped out and unaware of anything at all).

Later on David's trance state then lightened a little and Black Elk communicated through David' s gatekeeper (gatekeeper appeared to translate).

Black-out séance conditions.

Witnesses: Christine. Paul. Justin.

David was in trance state for most of the séance. An entity by the given name of Isaac came forward to communicate with us through David.

Justin found this trance episode of interest (he had not witnessed David in trance state before).

Jon felt a reduction of the energies around himself following the Isaac communication. Christine has therefore decided that the trance state should not be attempted in the physical séance setting again for the time being.

NOTE: Christine, Paul and Justin all reported cool breeze. Justin made particular comment concerning this. All three of these persons also witnessed a notable amount of white fog, which caused them to remark upon “lighter patches of darkness” within the séance room. Finally, Paul commented upon a spasmodic light area above the heads of Chris and Justin.

An MP3 recorder was set up to record events within the séance room. This item was rested upon the chair between Chris and Justin. Unfortunately no recording took place. At present we have no explanation for this, but feel that it is probably due to earthly-spirit incompetence rather than etheric-spirit intervention!

1) Heavy thud sound on the wooden floor of the venue…in front of the cabinet. It was as if a foot had stamped very hard, or a heavy encylopedia had been dropped. The whole floor shook.

2) When the red light was switched on (the red light switch was beside Chris’s foot)…before anyone moved….the trumpet was seen to be laying down. The trumpet is made of aluminium and makes a tin-clank sound when pushed over….but no such sound was heard.

For much of the séance a woolly mist was seen by Chris and Paul to spasmodically obscure their view of the various luminous tabs.

Jon felt that he had been conscious for most of the séance. He remembered many of the songs played and heard much of the conversation between Chris and Paul. However, he felt he’d been in the cabinet for only 20 minutes and seemed very surprised that he had been sitting in there for 70. Also he had not heard the heavy thud on the floor. Paul and Chris are certain that he would have heard this had he been conscious.

Our Spirit Circle is divided into two groups. Both groups together form our Circle.

Our Circle members work within a disciplined seance environment for the development of spirit communication through trance mediumship. We are also working for the enablement of direct voice and physical phenomena with the intention of proving the continuation of spirit consciousness beyond physical death through physical mediumship.

We have been informed by our spirit team that ectoplasm is being used within our lodge and so also is a form of group energy. Our spirit team have informed us that both ectoplasm and group energy are being used at the same time within our Lodge.

This diary is a record of all events that have occured within our Spirit Lodge since this was opened on February 6th 2007.

* All reports and descriptions of physical phenomena have been witnessed by more than two persons at the same time, and have often been witnessed by all those present at the same time.

* All reports of communication through trance mediums are honestly reported and described according to the circle leader's experience.

* It is our intention (equipment permitting) to use audio tape to record every seance.

* It is our intention to occasionally use a video camera to record trance mediumship for the purpose of learning.

* All taped recordings of communication through trance mediumship have been witnessed by all those present at the time.

* All recordings are genuine and any clips being reproduced remain a part of the whole, and have not been edited nor tampered with in any way.
